To customers using a DU-E5000/5080/5080-H drive unit
When the drive unit firmware Ver. 4.4.4 is used, in rare cases, E013 "Firmware error" is detected when the power is turned off.
* Customers who use Ver.4.4.4, please update to Ver.4.4.5 by using E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 as soon as possible.

* Once E013 is detected, the error status continues from that point on, disabling the assist mode.
To clear E013, have your place of purchase restore the firmware with Ver.4.4.5.

Fixed the problem for customers using SM-BCR2 to set up the bicycle via βE-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 (Ver. 4.0.2)β that was resulting in disabled operations.
There will be a major version upgrade for E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 in the coming days. Please note the following points related to this upgrade.
ο½₯ SM-PCE1 and SM-BCR2 will no longer be compatible.
ο½₯ The application can no longer be used on a PC with Windows 7.
Customers who need to upgrade their devices in order to use the application after the major version upgrade, please prepare the following items.
ο½₯ A PC with Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 installed.
Note that you can continue to use the features available in the current version without the upgrade. If you do not need the major version upgrade, please continue using E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4.
The βE-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 (Ver. 4.0.4)β will be updated as below:
1) Possibility to change the "Light / accessory power terminal output settings"
2) Changed the way to display the error log under the maintenance tab.
3) New window pops up to show the progress bar, while creating a service report.
4) Remaining light capacity time can be set shorter than the current setting value.
The βE-TUBE PROJECT for mobile (Ver. 4.0.4)β will be updated as below:
1) Added new firmware download function that allows the user to download the product firmware when needed.
2) Improved the switch customization display by highlighting the switch buttons.
3) New drive units added for error log list. (DU-E6100, DU-E6110, DU-E6180, DU-E7000, DU-E5000, DU-E5080, DU-E5080-H).
4) Improved the ON/OFF slide switch visibility for the information display.

Air pollutants have been shown to cause a vast amount of different adverse health effects. These effects include the impairment of respiratory and cardiovascular function. However, in recent years, the evidence showing effects beyond the lung and circulatory system, has become more evident. Neurological diseases, namely Alzheimerβs disease (AD) has shown to be associated with living near traffic. Yet, the reason for this has remained unresolved. Despite the fact that air pollution and brain disease are linked, the effects of extremely fine particles on brain function have been insufficiently assessed. In addition, the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the connection between brain health, AD and air pollution remain completely unknown. While the association of air pollutants with cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases such as AD has been discussed, it has also remained unclear, which components of air pollution are responsible for these effects. Moreover, very little is known about the effects of extremely fine particles, as well as of (S)VOCs from combustion engines, especially regarding effects beyond the lung, the main entrance and primary target organ.
There is an urgent need to understand the interplay of pollutants with adverse effects in the brain, in order to steer political decision making for efficient reduction of air pollutants. This could, in the long run, reduce the economic burden caused by diseases associated with them. To address this unmet need, the TUBE-project unites interdisciplinary expertise to study these adverse effects of extremely fine particles (UFPβs) in the human lung and brain. Leaning on this interdisciplinary approach and state of the art research methodologies, TUBE will aim to discover the harmful components of air pollution and identify biomarkers for early detection of brain disease related to air pollution. This could improve brain health, reduce the prevalence of brain diseases, provide significant economical savings, and provide data that will be used to support planning future traffic policy across the EU.
