Use Classic Tube’s StopFlex hose assemblies for brake and clutch applications to eliminate the spongy pedal feel and provide greater braking efficiency and clutch operation.
StopFlex incorporates a special 3 layer design for superior strength and virtually no volumetric expansion. It starts with a Teflon PTFE core (liner) followed by the stainless steel braid and a clear vinyl outer cover.
Replacing original equipment rubber hoses with StopFlex stainless steel braided hoses will increase braking performance by doing away with the soft spongy brake pedal. Rubber hoses expand, with the approximately 1200 psi. generated under hard braking. STOPFLEX results show a firmer pedal, allowing more control during braking.
What makes a hose D.O.T. compliant?
The Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) has developed a set of standards, FMVSS # 106 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard), to which all flexible hoses must perform without failing under extreme conditions. In order to be compliant the hose must pass multiple tests including the “whip” test. StopFlex hose’s 3 layer design has passed these DOT testing conditions.
Dirt, road debris, salt, off-roading and age can all contribute to the mild steel rust and corrosion of these critical lines. This can result in the lines leaking and failing brake and fuel systems, causing dangerous safety issues on your trusted GM/GMC 4WD truck.

The solution to this problem is installing 100% correct stock replacement lines in stainless steel from CLASSIC TUBE. These direct custom braided brake lines will last indefinitely, resisting rust and salt deterioration.
