Love these things. Install is remarkably easy and the output is outstanding. Have installed two in our dark living room (to balance the room) and have an abundance of free light every day. I purchased the supplemental light kit and did not even use it.

It takes a long time to get your product, 30 to 35 days, I hope it's right when it gets here.

The Solatube 160 DS is designed to deliver sunlight to spaces up to 200 sq. ft. So it’s just right for small to medium-sized areas like bathrooms, laundry rooms, closets and hallways. Use multiples for larger rooms.
• Light Coverage Area ≈ 150-200 sq. ft. (14 - 19 sq. m)
• Potential Tube Length ≈ 20 ft. (6 m)
The Solatube 160 DS Kit contain these standard components: dome, roof sealant, top tube, bottom tube and screws. You have the option to customize your flashing based on your roof type, your tubing length based on your attic height and your ceiling fixture. For roof pitches of 0:12 to 3:12 a No Pitch Flashing is recommended, and for 4:12 to 12:12 a Pitched Flashing is recommended. Measure your attic height to decide which length of tubing you need, tubing can always be cut to fit. And finally, there are several Decorative Fixture options for your ceiling, but all kits come standard with a Vusion Diffuser. Choose the options above to customize your kit.
stallation was done by our contractors. We expect to order a few new parts when we need a new a roof. So far we love the product and plan to put more in as we remodel other rooms. Try measuring a 300 mph jet of air without one of these babies! If you are measuring fast and/or hot air, this is the way to go.
Haven't got a chance to use it yet. But the stamp of the numbers were still all messed up like if the stamping system went off line. First one sent was really bad even the metal looked line it didn't forge right in one area....so I sent it back due to this and also number stamping...second was just bad stamping...I gave up and just hope it works right.

ASME design meets AMCA and ASHRAE specifications for maximum accuracy over a wide variety of flow conditions. No correction factors required as ASHRAE tip design yields a calibration factor of 1. ASHRAE design needs no calibration! Permanent, stamped insertion depth graduations on sides of 160 series facilitate accurate positioning. Static pressure port is parallel to sensing tube allowing quick, easy alignment of tube with air flow. Low sensitivity to misalignment gives accurate reading even when tube is misaligned up to 15 degrees. Various standard sizes are available for use in ducts as small as 4" dia. or as large as 36 ft. dia. A universal model fits user supplied 3/4" schedule 40 (standard) pipe in any length.
