Well, the most important thing to do, is research. Research takes time and patience and so does waist training and tightlacing. If you do not have the patience for doing research, then wearing corsets is not for you. They are as comfortable as well-fitting shoes. If the shoe is the wrong size, it’s uncomfortable, if it is the right size, it is VERY comfortable.

Waist training and tightlacing are not cheap hobbies. So do not think you can budget your way to a 20%-40% reduction in the waist. If you want to get your feet wet or if you plan to be a casual weare r that is okay. There are budget options, but do not expect it to give you curves/quality like a custom or higher end standard sized corset.

You can start off with an OTR, to see if you like corsets, but if you want to have a comfortable and good waist training journey, you must be willing to spend the money on a custom corset eventually.
