Try Minecraft: Education Edition For Free
Anyone can download Minecraft: Education Edition absolutely no cost! There are two ways to try Minecraft: Education Edition at no cost, either via the trial for free or the demo lesson. The free trial requires you to have an account either an Office 365 Education account or an Microsoft 365 account. You don't need an account or log-in in to use the demo lesson. About the trial free
The trial trial is fully functional and contains all the features available in the paid version. The trial is compatible to Code Connection and Classroom Mode. These features are explained in the Get Started with Code Connection and Get Started with Classroom Mode articles.
The trial is limited to 25 logins for teachers who have an Office 365 Education Account and 10 for all users. After that, a paid license is required to continue playing. Trial logins cannot be refreshed - if you have any issues, you should contact our support team immediately to ensure that you don't make use of all your trial logins! After your trial logins have been used, Minecraft: Education Edition is available for purchase.

About the demo lessons
Demo lessons let you test Minecraft: Education Edition at no cost and without registering. Demo lessons are not fully functional. Worlds and progress have not be saved, and it's impossible to host or participate in an online game. You can experience a real Minecraft lesson by playing the demo lesson. There is no limit on the number of times you play every demo lesson.

Follow these steps to try an interactive lesson
Select the Minecraft: Education Edition version you wish to download from the Get Minecraft download page. The Minecraft: Education Edition version you downloaded should be installed. Launch Minecraft Education Edition and, at the Welcome to Minecraft: Education Edition screen, choose If you don't have an account, try a demo lesson. Click View Terms to view the license agreement. When ready to play, click Accept Terms and then Play. Select Start Lesson. You can access lessons with the lock overlay after signing into the game using an authorized account or one that's suitable to try the game for a trial.
