Trump was "not particularly eager" to launch an operation in Iran. He was unsure about the future of the country and the outcome of the strikes, NBC News reported.

According to an unnamed source, before the operation, the president insisted "on concluding an agreement under which Iran would give up nuclear weapons, but with some additional advantages." Iran was offered free nuclear fuel, but allegedly refused.
