Hey fellow MFC users! Today was an amazing day! I just got this chitoge scale figure in, and it might be one of my greatest purchases ever! What's crazy is that I managed to secure this beautiful figure for only $50!!! And as you can see from the photos, she is authentic! (: Let me know down below any of your crazy figure stories! (:

Wow, she looks amazing! I love the colours! Congratz on getting her for such a good price.
My best deal was probably ITEM #446162 for 20€. The blister was missing and the box damaged, but the figure was like new. The seller sold her and some prize figures for 20€ each and probably just didn't do their research.
Also ITEM #59 for 28€ and ITEM #2838 for 40€, some of the Lyrical Nanoha figures made by Alter can be really cheap.

Also yeah, I probably would have taken a good look at that listing before buying it if I had seen that price on a figure that's usually listed at $200+. For some reason though, the bootleg versions of this Chitoge figure always seem to have different earrings from the legit version, which makes it somewhat easier to tell if the pics are of a legit one or not.
Also, while on the topic of good deals from eBay, probably the best one I can remember getting was ITEM #78642 for $35 in new condition. I know she doesn't exactly sell for much (which confuses me, as she's high quality and is also by Alter) but I still thought that $35 new was a pretty insane price. I have prize figures that I've paid more than $35 for in used condition. chitoge is my first alter figure, and i really see the amazing quality, so that’s really an amazing deal of only $35!! and yes, at first it was hard for me to tell the real from the fake, but upon closer inspection i can see the difference quite clearly (: but still though a brand new scale figure being cheaper than some prize figures is really an amazing deal!

Defective Real Action Heroes Stand Base, Help! Ask MFC Prev Next Prev Next

Not so long ago, I bought from a seller ITEM #149372
The figure is just like described and the base was still in it's plastic bag; there where a few holes made but not wide enough to manage to extract the pieces (seller confirmed it was unopened because of space issues). But once I tried to display the figure and use the base, I noticed the plastic arm couldn't be put normally; the cylindral thingy with the hole is upside down!
It's plain from on the surface and empty from the bottom; which should be the other way around

I'd highly suggest not modifying or attempting to "fix" the base, it's a rare manufacturing defect and you're just as likely to completely break it in the process.
Personally I'd either be on the lookout for another cheap RAH figure in junk condition with a compatible base, or looking into making a custom base.

J'aurais aucun problème à avoir un trou, mais j'ai une visseuse à main inutilisable (le foret se renfonce dans le manche à chaque fois que j'applique un minimum de pression :/) et puis j'ai un peu peur de l'acrylique, surtout que celui est relativement fin; j'aurais vraiment pas envie de le fissurer ahah

They just fitted it into the base upside down, so if you can get it to come apart then at least worst case scenario would be gluing it back together the right way up.
From the photos it looks like that is two parts that come either side of the base, so should be possible to remove and correct. At least that is what it looks like from the pictures

It looks like the cylindral piece was kinda put in the mold before the big acrylic piece was casted around, I don't know if I put it the right way; but it feels like if I try to remove it, it will just make cracks inside the acrylic plate

I have been very busy the past week, apologies for not being on very often :( but none of you care about that, you care about the juicy jucy meaty meat center of this funky dunky article!
So the other day I got a dm from someone asking me to join their *ahem* cover figures in the male seed (or what looks like it) club. I very very politely declined
However, it sent me down a rabbit hole of strange mfc things, to say the least. Clubs, profiles, etc. Sadly, it was at 2am or smthn so I didn't really document it. But basically I found a poop club
This site is pretty old, and I guarantee I haven't seen all there is to see in terms of weird shit.
I'm not talking about recent stuff like fat lover or me, or weird item entries (as I feel that's gone over enough) I'm more talking about the community side of things.
Little websites like this fascinate me as it's a small pocket of the internet that can have it's own weird shenanigans going on.
So what's some weird stuff that's happened here over the years that you know of? Weird fights in comments on figures that have lasted for months? A particularly strange and out there club? Would especially love to hear about some older stuff that could have been buried over the years. But basically, anything odd on this website we call shithole.

My memory is normally bad, but now I am getting waves of memories coming back.
Some things people reported my profile for:
- Amputee fetish (Some people that don't know anything about Mecha Musume assume the girls are amputated apparently??? Just look up 1 gif or trailer from for example Strike Witches and you'll see their full legs fit in the mecha legs, dang.)
- Glorifying war (because I collect from military anime)
- Having bikini figures
- Having hentai figures
I never interacted with any accounts that reported me and some of them were so angry they made new accounts to make more reports. Most of this stuff happened from approx 2014 to 2016 iirc.
Like...there are way worse accounts to tackle than mine, bro. LOL
Maybe not darkest depths, but the next thing I think of is multiple figure comment threads that ended up getting 'cleaned up' by MODs when people respond that are, hrmm, for lack of a better word, obsessed with the purity of their characters? So back when Lucky Star and Haruhi Suzumiya were big things, people would go on big rants about how their underwear was visible on the figure and it was a disgrace etc. and people that would look at their panties are messed up etc.
I've also seen similar comments more recently when things are about a franchise or character which offends/triggers the person (for example related to military, NSFW subjects they don't like) and people go on HUGE rants filling up a computer screen on an item page that is otherwise mostly visited by people that uh...like that subject. I guess I am just kind of wow-ed when I can see so much anger for something where 99.9% of people that don't like it would just move on. ^^'' Why go look at something you know you would dislike and then spew anger there?
This person also send me a friend invite around the same time, along with the personal question which figure on his profile I would like to see him...on.
Politely declined the friend request that came along with it as well.
What strikes me as odd the most is that there is nothing on my profile or in my content that would make it seem I am into this stuff.

It's very, very rare for sites like amiami to have items like that. Of course, they're gonna pop up once in a while, but for the most part amiami is a very well trusted shop. I say this ad someone who gets 90% of their figures pre owned, it's much cheaper and I don't think you should avoid it just bc of this :]

flyingteapot • 1年前 • #97250331 I never had anything weird happen to me personally, until the last year or so. I've come across more trolls and aggressiveness from people than I've ever seen here. I'm partly blaming the pandemic for this; since it shut a lot of people in their own little worlds. I'm hoping we'll see a bit less trolling and negativeness as things calm down and life returns to normal around the world. This is so true. I am still a young user, (my account is almost 2 years old) but I was shocked with all the random trolling and the testy negativity when I first joined here back in mid 2019.
The site's activity did increase when Covid hit. Some articles from 2019 would only get a few comments compared to an article from today. Depending on the topic though. I've seen more fighting and bullying in these past few months too. Even a user who used to make articles decided to have her account deleted because of the red-button debates in the comment section.
I hope things tone down someday too.

I've technically been here long enough and been active enough to make an iceberg, but I honestly barely remember any of the shit that's happened on this website. I remember the things other people are posting about 'cause I have good recall, but I can't outright remember anything specific.
