The family of cheerleader Tristyn Bailey have paid tribute to her in an emotional speech during a memorial event honoring her life.
'I made a promise to Tristyn. We are going to make her name shine above all the evil that has happened,' her mom, Stacy, said.
'We will never but the same, but we will always be the Bailey 7,' she added - referring to the members of their family.
The 13-year-old cheerleader was found dead in the woods in St. John's County, Florida , on May 9 with a 'horrific' number of stab wounds.
Hundreds of friends, family, teachers and community members - dressed in bright aqua and white clothing - joined Bailey's parents and four older siblings to celebrate her life in Celebration Church in Jacksonville on Tuesday.
'When someone you love becomes a memory, the memories become treasures,' her sister Alexis Bailey said. 'Let Tristyn become your treasure.'
Tristyn's dad, Forrest, thanked everyone for their support.
'When you give someone your thoughts and prayers, you are giving everything. There are no words. There are no words that will heal it. All of the messages that poured in, from people all over the place, they helped us,' he said.

Aiden Fucci, 14, was charged with murder.
Meanwhile, things got more complicated for her suspected killer, 14-year-old classmate Aiden Fucci, who was charged with second-degree murder.
On Monday, Fucci's lawyer, Anwar Snober filed to withdraw as defense counsel, which was granted.
The motion says Snober 'has discussed the matter with the defendant and his parents and both are in agreement as to the withdrawal of counsel.'
Snober didn't return DailyMail.com's request for comment.
Police say Aiden stabbed Tristyn a 'horrific' number of times and blood was found on her clothes in what police said was a 'cold-blooded murder'. Her cause of death has been listed as stabbing by the St John's County Medical Examiner.

Investigators say Tristyn' body was found fully clothed - she was wearing a dark top and white cheer skirt.
Prosecutors are deciding whether to charge Aiden as an adult.
Before he was officially charged, he took a selfie in the back of a cop car which he then posted on Snapchat with the caption 'Hey guys has inybody (sic) seen Tristyn lately'. It was before her body was found in woods.

In Anwar Snober's motion to withdraw as Aiden's lawyer, it said he 'has discussed the matter with the defendant and his parents (Crystal Smith, mom, left, and Jason Fucci, dad, right) and both are in agreement as to the withdrawal of counsel'
Now, police say they will use that 'egregious' selfie as evidence against him and that it proves he was 'proud of what he did'.
It was revealed that Aiden's father Jason was previously jailed for child abuse in 2003 after he had sex with a 15 year-old when he was 18.
He attended his son's first court hearing.

Florida cheerleader Tristyn Bailey was stabbed multiple times in a 'horrific, cold blooded murder', the sheriff investigating her death revealed on Tuesday.
The 13-year-old was found dead in St Johns on Sunday less than 24 hours after her family reported her missing.
Police have arrested and charged 14-year-old Aiden Fucci with second degree murder. He is in juvenile custody and prosecutors are yet to decide whether to charge him as an adult.
On Tuesday, St. Johns County Sheriff Rob Hardwick told local network NewsJax that Tristyn was killed violently, stabbed multiple times.
'This is a cold-blooded murder of a 13-year-old young girl who did not deserve to die.

On Tuesday, St. Johns County Sheriff Rob Hardwick told local network NewsJax that Tristyn was killed violently, stabbed multiple times. 'This is a cold-blooded murder of a 13-year-old young girl who did not deserve to die,' he said
'I don't want to mention the number of times, but it is horrific. It is horrible. And the word accident is nowhere involved in this case,' he said.
He has still not determined the motive for the killing.
'We're going to look at every aspect, every crime that's out there. Our guys and girls are going to leave no stone unturned,' he said.
Before Fucci made his first appearance on Tuesday, Sheriff Hardwick said he was 'proud' of killing her.
On Sunday night, before cops found Tristyn's body, Fucci was hauled in for questioning.
While in the back of the patrol car, he posted a selfie on Snapchat, flashing a peace sign, with the caption: 'Has anybody seen Tristyn lately?'
Hardwick called the taunt 'egregious' and said it added to the evidence that Fucci wanted to kill her and was remorseless over it.
'I know it looks egregious with him making those statements in that car, but that is now evidence that we gather and use against him.
'So that just makes our case a better case to present to the State Attorney's office and to present to a jury down the road saying this was his mindset.
'This is what he's doing, was he's proud of what he did. So, you know, this is going to help our case and make it stronger to, you know, his intentions,' St. Johns County Sheriff Robert Hardwick said in an interview on Tuesday with local outlet WOKV before Fucci's first court appearance.

Aiden's parents Crystal Smith and Jason Fucci, both dialed into the Zoom hearing on Tuesday. Tristyn's parents did not appear
She was last seen at the Durbin Amenity Center in St John's at 1.15am. It's unclear what she was doing there or if Aiden was with her
Tristyn was reported missing on Sunday at 10am. She was last seen at 1.15am. By 6pm on Sunday night, her body had been found
On Tuesday, Fucci appeared via Zoom before Circuit Judge Michael Orfinger, who said there was probable cause to charge him in Tristyn's death. He held him in custody and gave prosecutors until May 31 to decide whether or not to charge him as an adult.
In the meantime, Judge Orfinger banned photos of Fucci in his courtroom.
The teenager appeared in a black jail sweatshirt. He looked relaxed throughout the hearing and put both of his hands behind his head at one point.
His parents Jason Fucci and Crystal Smith were both on the call. They spoke briefly to confirm that they had hired him a lawyer.
None of Tristyn's relatives spoke during the hearing.
Police have not shared any more information about the kids, including what they were doing on Saturday night before Tristyn vanished.
After she was reported missing, dozens of local volunteers joined in the search for her.
The man who found her body was one of them - police say he'd seen on the news that she was missing and went out to look for her.
She was last seen at the Durbin Amenity Center in St John's at 1.15am. It's unclear what she was doing there or if Aiden was with her.
The center has an outdoor pool and tennis courts. It is next to a lake and there are woods nearby.
In a statement on Monday afternoon, a spokesman for the state's attorney's office said: 'As Sheriff Hardwick stated in his press conference today, our office will continue to investigate the case to determine both the appropriate charges going forward, and whether or not (Fucci) will be charged as an adult.'

“This was not the outcome the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office wanted, or this community (wanted),” Sheriff Robert Hardwick said.
“This is a grieving community and we’re going to respect our grieving community.”
Hardwick confirmed that Tristyn’s body was fully clothed, but her cause of death was not revealed.
The St Johns County Sheriff’s Office said that they “do not believe there is a threat at this time” asking the community to “stand down” from the search.
No information on where the body was found was revealed, with Hardwick explaining “this is the early stage of a very, very complex investigation”.
Her sister had earlier posted on social media asking for any information about the cheerleader’s disappearance.
She wrote: “Please check your kids’ accounts for anything that can help us.
“Help us locate our sweet sassy cheer star!! I need my blonde haired twin back.”
A family friend wrote: “RIP sweet girl. Words cannot express our heartbreak.
