According to the folks at Redanian Intelligence , there is a Geralt and Triss sex scene in The Witcher Season 2. Now there will be some of the fan base, book readers wondering why the change? At the same time, fans of the games may simply wonder what the fuss is about? Triss was Geralt’s love interest in the first two Witcher games.
We need to remember that in terms of the books, those CDPR games are not canon. Yet, they do act as sequel to those books. In my opinion, the games actually wrap up the story of The Witcher very nicely. However some of the original books fans don’t feel the same way. In the book Blood of the Elves , there is a scene in Kaer Morhen where Triss tells Geralt she does not want him to be alone. However no actual romance is implied in the book at this point. The outlet says this will change in the show and that a Geralt and Triss sex scene does happen in Kaer Morhen.
It us unknown whether The Witcher show will stop where the books did, or whether they will try to conclude the series in the same way as the games? What does seem clear is that the showrunners like the idea of a love triangle between Geralt and the two sorceresses. Geralt is told that Yen is dead in the show, however it remains unclear whether Triss thinks this too, or keeps the truth from Geralt. I have not finished Blood of the Elves yet as I spent so long reading The Wheel of Time series. However I am aware of the general story and I am certainly a fan of The Witcher games from CDPR.
The Witcher 3 allows the player to choose whether to have Triss or Yennefer as your long term love interest. However, if you try to get both, you get neither of them. The vast majority of the fan base however, think it’s a disgrace to have chosen Triss. I have to admit, I chose Yen on my playthrough also and I also fail to get why some players chose Triss?
What do you think about seeing a Geralt and Triss sex scene in The Witcher Season 2. Are there any books fans upset at this change, or does it just make sense to add to the drama? As always, leave any thoughts below.

I'm not sure who to choose between Yen of Triss
rainelee posted... I'm not sure who to choose between Yen of Triss Same , I feel like Yen fits better due to Lore and the fact that he spent 3 games looking for her. But at the same time I just prefer triss way better personality / romance imo haven't beaten the game yet but she actually shows affection where Yen is kinda indifferent / b****y. Yen just doesn't seem to care for Geralt as much as triss from my observation up to this point in the game atleast.

Yen just doesn't seem to care for Geralt as much as triss from my observation up to this point in the game atleast. Hmm. I agree. It feels incredibly one sided with a few exceptions. I haven't read the books but the first book goes into details about their relationship and why it's like that.
I was surprised that, after her softcore scene from Witcher 2 that it was this classy in the third game. I mean, we did see some nudity, but the camera zoomed enough away at the right moments to make it seem more tasteful and less like adult TV-vibe stuff which Witcher 2 was full. I have to comment on Yen too, now that people have brought it up. I have not seen her since the beginning of the game when she teleported away in Vizima, but so far it's my biggest gripe with the plot. Why spend 3 games looking for Yennefer making a big deal out of it and then throw the focus away completely from her when you finally meet her? Going into 3 I thought for sure this was gonna be a story that focused on developing her, but apparently, it takes her for granted and expects us to care without knowing who she really is. I'm expecting some more depth to it later in the plot but from what I've gathered there's not really THAT much left after I'm done with Skellige which is where I'm going next. I just think not focusing on building up Yennefer's character from the get-go is the biggest mistake they could possibly make with this final installment unless there's a twist that switches my perception of this up.

“Several months ago we reported on a sex scene happening between Geralt and Triss, sometime in the first half of Season 2. That didn’t happen, as we all saw, but here’s what we know about the original plan for that:
Geralt and Triss are in a room together, they seem friendly at first. They are playing some kind of weird game. Whoever wins a round, gets to ask a question. We’re not privy to the exact flow of the conversation, but it eventually leads to both of them ending up in bed.
We can only guess why this was cut, but perhaps it was thanks to Henry Cavill, who is a self-proclaimed advocate for book canon on set. Maybe it was Henry who refused to do the scene and saved the fandom from the second Team Yen/Team Triss war”
The books handles it well. Triss is a very flawed character who uses charms to convince Geralt to give in to her the first time. She does it behind Yennefer’s back, and it’s implied that it happens multiple times. Geralt sleeps with other women in the main saga as well. She redeems herself at the end of the series and Yennefer has a good moment to really let her have it, in a nearly comedic way, just before the end.
I liked that Lauren implied there may be something there with the dialogue from Ciri, asking how she and Geralt knew eachother. I think referencing past tumultuousness and infidelity in the Geralt-Yennefer relationship is a solid decision that pays homage to the books, without going whole hog into the love triangle featured in W3.
Since he played a similar truth game with Nivellen, I wonder if they took that idea from this scene and reworked it.
IIRC, I think that conversation with the knives was in the book, so may have stolen it from there to use with Triss as well.
I've heard that the Yen Vs Triss stuff had gotten so messy on the Witcher games subreddit a few years back that some people left.
Someone on a BotW subreddit said that after I complained about the Zelda Vs Mifa stuff. I really don't like it when that kind of thing happens.
I feel like Henry saved us a headache here, fan wars over "which one is better" are annoying as F. They're both great imo. Let's just move on.
I don’t know if they actually got to film a sex scene but I saw an interview with Lauren where she said that Henry felt that Geralt was still mourning over Yennefer (the love of his life) and wasn’t ready to move on. Which is why he rejected Triss.
Pretty much every (clueless) interviewer has already been asking questions about the love triangle since season 1. So I’m glad we won’t have to go through the whole Team Yen/Team Triss war in the show. That’s so cringe.
A restraint CDPR could learn from in regards to Triss
Personally I am sooooo glad that was deleted if it was ever meant to exist!!! First of all we don't need some cheesy tele-novela love triangle, this isn't Twilight. also, Triss was super creepy and really really pathetic with her pining over Geralt in the books even tho .. spoiler... she knew he was in love with Yen, she also used magic to seduce Geralt and make him sleep with her cuz she couldn't get it any other way. And he regretted it. So no thanx, game perpetuated that nonsense enough.
I'm glad they didn't go through with it. I like Geralt not being a manwhore, it's refreshing
No, the sex scene happened before BoE and “off screen”.
