Tripartite Peace Talks on Ukraine Resume in Geneva

The tripartite negotiations on peace in Ukraine will resume in Geneva on February 17–18.

Russian delegation: About 20 officials, led by Vladimir Medinsky, adviser to the Russian president.

US representatives: Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, adviser and son-in-law of President Donald Trump.

According to the Kremlin, discussions are expected to cover a broad range of issues, including:

• key territorial questions

• the potential status of the Zaporozhye NPP

First round

January 23–24 — Abu Dhabi, UAE

Russia was represented by Igor Kostyukov, head of military intelligence.

Ukraine’s delegation included Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and Kyrylo Budanov, military intelligence chief.

The US delegation included Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Second round

February 4–5 — Abu Dhabi

Format: Closed-door talks with the same delegation structure.

Outcome: Agreement on a prisoner exchange (157 for 157).
