The Bible teaches 1 God who consists of 3 persons. However, it should be noted that the Trinity is not a species but a composite. Furthermore, the Trinity contains a subordination that is not based on nature but on roles, meaning that the Father is greater than the Son and the Holy Spirit. To understand this, I will now present 3 analogies.

Analogy 1: Triangle

A triangle consists of 3 corners, and together they are 1 triangle. Likewise, God consists of 3 persons who together are 1 God. They must be together to exist. They can never be separated. The top corner is the Father because he is the highest and the 2 bottom corners are the Son and the Holy Spirit who are subordinate to him.

Analogy 2: Light

Light consists of the 3 primary colors red, green and blue, and together they are light. Likewise, God consists of 3 persons who together are God. They must be together to exist. They can never be separated. The color red, with the longest wavelength, is the Father because he is the leader, and the colors green and blue are the Son and the Holy Spirit who are behind him.

Analogy 3: Body

The human body has 1 head and 2 arms, and the head commands the 2 arms what to do. Likewise, God consists of 1 head and 2 arms. The head is the Father because he is the commander, and the Son and the Holy Spirit are the arms who carry out his commands.
