Head out on this 6. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking, rock climbing, and via ferrata, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail. Some parts looked a little sketchy but they were fine in reality. Took me just over 2 hours, but I was rushing for the bus at the end, so more like 3 hours would be realistic. Overall a beautiful and serene hike, would recommend! As many have described, the trail is moderate to difficult. At the time we hiked, late September, there were still several snow covered areas on the Rhine River side which I found to be a challenge. One in particular where you could not see the trail at all and midway you are staring down close to m. On the oppesite side it was fully snow covered until you reached the top. Stay left if you do not want to summit to the cross. Go right for another 25 minutes to the summit. If you make it, there is a book for you to write about your adventure and sign. Breathtaking views throughout. Amazing hike! Did it in 3 hours with some stops for pictures. Some areas of the hike are really exposed and you are walking literally on the edge of the cliff, but nothing too scary. There were almost no people on the hike, which was incredible and peaceful. This was an epic trail! And if you want to experience some amazing elevation with relatively little pain or to long of a haul, this is it. At no point did it feel unsafe. It was a lot of fun! Quintessential hike through alps with cows and donkeys, alpine ridges and huge vistas. The varied terrain makes it so exciting too. Lovely trail, a little sketchy in places that got my heart going, but would still recommend. Just a 4 mile loop but very challenging. Cabled on the way up snow crossings on the way back. Stunning views. Exciting song! After an hour I could no longer continue, the path had disappeared under many small stones covered in snow. I took a photo of the sign that tells about the danger of falling rocks, I think it's fine to walk; At least I survived :p I went left at the junction, perhaps you can continue walking right! First off, this trail has some very exposed parts. AllTrails reviews are in general very quick to warn about 'dangerous' trails which are in reality actually straightforward. This trail however has some real exposed parts so err on the safe side if you are afraid of heights or the weather is bad wind, ice, wetness. The climb clockwise is wonderful, exciting and rewarding. There are ropes to help you but walking poles suffice. Once you reach the other side of the mountain, you will be rewarded with a complete change of scenery: the barren, harsh rocks change into a lustrous forest populating the valley enclosed by the mountains. Take the time if you turn around the corner to appreciate the silence. There is no noise at all, no wind, no cars, no people. As a final bonus tip, do this hike in the evening and enjoy the sunset. The sunset is beyond compare. Truly magical. Really great hike, we did it together with the dog. We had to carry her quite some parts, so if you intent to do it, make sure your dog is okay with carrying. Because if it moves a lot, there is a risk of falling and the cliff is quite steep. But the views are amazing and it was totally worth it. Amazing hike, challenging but not too long - exactly what we were looking for! We did have some bad luck with the clouds, but on a clear day the views must be amazing. I was a bit worried about the other reviews talking about the scaryness, but we never felt unsafe. I do have a fear of heights but was able to do it without any major issues. If you are a regular hiker you will be fine. I highly recommend this hike for anyone staying in the area. A bit scary but amazing hike! Good hiking shoes recommended. Some narrow parts. Write something in the guestbook on top of the Alpenspitz. Great hike! One of the best I did so far. The views are great. Keep in mind it is a difficult hike. I do not recommend it for beginner hikers. Absolutely fabulous! Very difficult but so beautiful. You need to have good shoes and not be afraid of heights… take the left on the way out to come back on the easy side. We felt comfortable the entire way but it did rain a bit, making the descent a bit slippery. We also saw 4 chamois deer like animal as we descended. Definitely requires good stamina and good footwear. The owners near the end of the trail who herd to cows have a fridge with drinks and snacks in their barn. This hike far exceeded my expectations. We thought it would be a wooded trail, and it is for about the first. The next section is more packed dirt and roots up to the cross. There is a very steep climb before reaching the cross, and it looks daunting from below, but it has switchbacks after about the first meters, and is very doable. After the cross, you have about 1. In total, we ended up at 5 miles and it took us Pretty easy to navigate the trail, although there are intersecting trails so we did check the map a few times to be sure we were on track. No water stops or public bathroom options. After the hike we drove about meters just down the hill from the parking lot to a small restaurant called Berggasthaus Matu, and I highly recommend stopping here. The food was absolutely delicious! All in all great hike and amazing day. Beautiful trail, incredible views. However, closer to difficult than moderate. If you have a great of heights, definitely not for you. Also, longer than 4 miles, more like 4. Highly recommend if you are in decent shape and can handle heights. Outstanding hike! In total, it took me 2. Great trail, challenging but in the good way. We had a beautiful trip and ended with a cold soda at the hotel from where we started. Very awesome hike, although there is a lot of exposure. The views are spectacular all along the way, but especially so once you get past the first exposed section and also the top of the Alpsitz. Once down from Alpspitz it all gravel road back to the trailhead. I forgot to shut down the tracker so mileage is back to town, my actual mileage was 5 miles. BUT—cannot do the full hike as of mid-April due to snow. Still can get a decent ways up and see some gorgeous sights though, just not accessible on the long tail middle portion where the loop overlaps. Well marked trail with beautiful scenery. Length 6. Preview trail. Panoramic hiking trail in Triesenberg. This magnificent hiking trail leads first through a piece of forest and then a long section through rocky terrain uphill to the Gafleisattel. Once there, continue straight ahead to the east and over the slopes back into green territory. Here a short path in the middle of the forest leads to the summit cross. There are places to stop for refreshments in Gaflei. Reviews 88 Photos Activities Completed Hector Moore. Not crowded Great conditions Great views. Shawn S. Great conditions Great views. Outstanding Reviews. Breakfast Included. Overall experience is good. Grand Lisboa Palace Macau. Room was comfy and clean. Service was great. Pillow was exceptional. Breakfast spread was vast but lacking in quality. They even offer herbal tea. Coffee not so great. Only wanton noodles and the hk milk tea taste good. They provide free shuttle buses to other hotels and old town. Staff was friendly and helpful in giving directions. The Venetian Macao. Macau 4. Big room and there is alot of shop to go around at Level 3. Is a bit far from the hotel room to the main lobby if is for elderly people to walk. Studio City Hotel. The hotel is huge!!! Nice and beautiful hotel, also they have the waterpark inside you have to pay but the swimming pool is free. The hotel also has water, soda, and drinks plus cup noodles for guests!!! I really enjoyed my stay. The Macau Roosevelt. Macau 3. Excellent Reviews. My room at The Macau Roosevelt was a masterpiece of modern design with a touch of glamour, reflecting the unique aesthetic of the hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, offering a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided were of the highest quality. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room's design made my stay not just comfortable but truly indulgent. W Macau - Studio City. We got a free upgrade to the Marvellous Suite. The room is spacious, clean and well-designed. Breakfast buffet was busy and costed a minutes wait, however, it was filled with a vast range of food. Hotel Royal. Macau 1. Macau 0. Check in process fast but we think the deposit is a little too much mop. The amenities is good. All working, except for the electric kettle haha but nothing exag. Staff are good! Filipinos the best! We requested for water, in a matter of minutes here he comes. Very fast! We'll definitely booked again!! Swimming pool is great! Sofitel Macau at Ponte Wife and I were in Macau for a short break from looking after our kid. We were quite impressed with the location as it's not far from attractions and shopping areas such as the Ruins of St Paul. Really enjoyed its breakfast buffet with quite a lot of French selections quite fitting for a Sofitel. We also enjoyed an excellent harbour view with the peaceful Wanzai Residential District across the border in the background. Only disadvantage would probably be its ferry pier shuttle bus service that runs at 1hr intervals. Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau. Upon checking-in Front Desk receptionist named Will and Patrick assigned room all my preferences not achieved. I was disappointed by their guests service towards me as I know the hotel was in low occupancy on that day. Fortunately, after 3rd attempt I called reception and Mr. Arielle and Ms. Linda managed my room well. Was so relieved, I am so much thankful for their great service. Latest Reviews for Macau Hotels. Guest User 4. Grand Hyatt Macau. We went to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary and the customer service team Kent and Cherry went above and beyond our expectations and provided us with amazing customer service! Not only did Kent personally took us to our hotel rooms they also provided a complimentary cake and gift as well as upgraded my parents room! Highly recommend!! JW Marriott Hotel Macau. You can forget about early checkin. Could only preregister strictly after pm and had to come back for room key collection from 3pm onwards. The hotel requires HKD for room deposit. We requested for twin beds but was informed there would be additional charges unlike other establishments who not only accommodated to our requests but they also did their best to make our stay memorable. Honestly we expected better service for the price paid. Conrad Macao. It was a great trip, the staff were very helpful and it was kid friendly. Anonymous User 4. New Orient Landmark Hotel. It's classical looking place, the amenities were good. However the service was poor, we asked to help us book a taxi from the ferry, they concierge told us there would be plenty of taxis at the ferry port, this was not true at all.
