This protection can work in two ways, it can protect you from pain but also deflect you from love. This duality can begin to feel extremely heavy, and confusing which can increase symptoms of anxiety and depression. We desire connection, without the risk.
I help individuals, families, and couples heal from the pains of the past that may be impacting how they perceive the world around them. I specialize in CBT and utilize DBT & EFT techniques in session with an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic alliance.
Our first session is primarily focused on building rapport with one another. I believe that it's important to make the distinction that we are people first before exploring certain impacts and factors that have influenced certain behavioral and emotional responses.
