By the very definition, "trap" is a male that looks like a woman until you take their pants off. Half the posts on r/traps look like blokes. If you look like a dude you're not a trap, you're a crossdresser!
Legit reasons for unsubscribing. I've also had similar thoughts every time someone mentioned a trap. It's called a 'trap' because the person traps you with their appearance of you looking like a girl. You wouldn't be able to tell unless they revealed it to you. Some of those posts on there are clearly guys you can tell, whether dressed as a girl or not. Hence no trap.

I came in here to spread some knowledge on you young fools. It seems to be like a majority of you people coming at the angle of, is liking or fucking a trap is gay? Then by all means, yes. You're gay as hell. However traps themselves ARE NOT GAY! It's that for simple. First we have to know what a trap is. It's basically a DUDE btw crossdressing or dressing themselves up as a feminine girl. The whole reason it is called 'trap' is to trap you, by being deceived. It's understandable if you think someone is cute because they're seem to be a girl but once that is revealed the person is not and you still trying to hit, you're gay. Anyway back to the whole trap thing. Now that we know what a trap is. We have to wonder. Is the trap homosexual? Then yeah, he's gay. Is he a straight dude that just like to dress up for whatever reason? Then he's not gay. Traps can be straight or gay or whatever the fuck.
Agree if someone's looking for or into traps it does not mean frank down the street in a dress and bra it's a whole very different fetish there
