Plot
The story follows Cooper Adams, who takes his teenage daughter, Riley, to a concert by pop star Lady Raven as a reward for her good grades. Upon arrival, he notices an unusually high police presence around the venue. Through a vendor named Jamie, Cooper learns that the FBI is planning to apprehend a serial killer known as "the Butcher," who is believed to be attending the event. It is soon revealed that Cooper himself is the Butcher, covertly watching footage of his latest captive, Spencer, in a basement on his phone. He steals Jamie's ID card, learns the passphrase to pose as an employee, and gains access to a back room where he steals a police radio.
As Cooper hears someone predicting his movements over the radio, he triggers an explosion in a food stand's kitchen, using the ensuing chaos to reach the roof. There, a police officer informs him that the manhunt is led by Dr. Josephine Grant, an FBI profiler. Riley, puzzled by her father's odd behavior, asks him to stay with her. She then shares that she has been chosen as Lady Raven's "Dreamer Girl," which allows her to dance on stage and gain backstage access—an exit Cooper believes is not under police surveillance. Cooper lies to Lady Raven's uncle, claiming Riley recently recovered from leukemia, which gets her selected as the "Dreamer Girl."
However, Cooper discovers that the police are guarding the backstage exit as well. He reveals his true identity as the Butcher to Lady Raven, threatening to kill Spencer remotely if she doesn't help them escape in her limousine. She agrees but asks to visit Riley's home, where she stalls for time by explaining the FBI operation to the family. She unnerves Cooper by describing Grant's profile of him as someone with maternal issues and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Lady Raven manages to steal Cooper's phone and locks herself in the bathroom. She gets information from Spencer about his location and livestreams it to her fans, leading to Spencer's rescue. She then exposes Cooper to his wife, Rachel. Enraged, Cooper locks his family upstairs while Lady Raven secretly contacts the police through her driver. Cooper tries to escape with Lady Raven, but his family distracts him, allowing her to get away. The police arrive, and Cooper flees through a secret tunnel before disguising himself in a SWAT uniform and driving off in the limousine with Lady Raven. When she learns his true identity, she unlocks the window, drawing a mob of fans to stop him, giving the FBI a chance to catch up. The hallucination is actually Grant, impersonating Cooper's mother to calm him down, and he is tased by SWAT officers as he approaches her. As Cooper is led away, he stops to adjust Riley's bicycle and shares a tearful moment with her before being loaded into a police van. As the van drives away, Cooper secretly begins picking his cuffs with a bicycle spoke he took earlier, laughing to himself. In a mid-credits scene, Jamie discovers Cooper's true identity while watching the news.
