В систему городского транспорта входят метро, RER (городские электрички), автобусы, трамваи и фуникулер. Также мы расскажем о том, как пользоваться такси и прокатом велосипедов. По сравнению с Москвой, Лондоном, Пекином или Нью-Йорком Париж — город небольшой.
Водный транспорт осуществляет перевозки по водным путям, в том числе речной транспорт по внутриматериковым водоёмам, морской транспорт по океанам и морям. Если не учитывать стоимость создания и поддержания водных путей, водный транспорт дешевле, хотя и медленнее автомобильного и железнодорожного.

В пассажирскую эксплуатацию запущен первый поезд новой модели MF19: он предназначен для линии 10. В январе 2026 прибудет второй состав. Полноценное обновление поездов линии 10 завершится в 2027 году. Открыто продление 14 линии метрополитена до аэропорта Орли.
Общественный транспорт в Париже представлен следующими видами: метро, RER, автобусы и трамваи. Существуют разные типы транспортных билетов. На одну поездку — t+ticket, а также есть недельные и месячные проездные карты — Paris Visite и Passe Navig. T+ticket — одноразовый транспортный билет в Париже.
Главным средством передвижения в самом Париже является метро. На весь транспорт действуют единые билеты t+, которые можно купить в билетном автомате за 1,90 € (по состоянию на 2022 г). С 2019 года введена система билетов в виде карты с микрочипом, которая позволяет немного сэкономить на транспорте.
