Olenivka Community🕯 9 December – International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide
Today, we honour all those whose lives were taken by crimes aimed at destroying entire peoples and communities. For us, the Olenivka Community, it is also a reminder that the crime committed in Olenivka must be recognised as one of the elements of russia’s genocide against Ukrainians. Russia deliberately violated international law by carrying out the mass execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.
Our duty is to ensure this crime is never forgotten.
