On January 5, 2023, UN Secretary-General António Guterres disbanded the mission that had been established to conduct an on-site investigation into the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka. Over the years since then, the UN has failed to provide the families of those executed with any explanation for the dissolution of this mission.

Our disappointment with international organizations is commented on by the mother of Azov sapper Yaroslav Otrok, who was executed in Olenivka.

We call on the United Nations, at the very least after three years, to send our families a letter with a detailed explanation of its inaction.
