In May 2011, Transgender Luxembourg approached REVERSED PICTURES A.S.B.L. to write and shoot short-films dealing with (trans)gender issues in modern Western culture. These short films are to be shown at a congress at the Abbey Neumünster to provide attendees with further - and perhaps more artistic - input within the field of gender studies.
Ziel des Filmprojektes ist es, starre Normvorstellungen von Geschlecht, Geschlechtsidentität und sozialer Rolle aufzulösen. Darüber hinaus wird eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Begrifflichkeiten wie „Normalität" und „Krankhaftigkeit" gefördert. Ferner soll das Publikum für direkte und indirekte Formen der Diskriminierung von Menschen in Luxemburg sensibilisiert werden, die der traditionellen heterosexuellen Norm nicht entsprechen.
