Privacy Policy
1. No account
The app has no sign-up and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, or contacts.
2. What we process
When you share a video or audio clip, the app extracts a short piece of its audio on your device and sends an audio fingerprint (and, for shared links, the link) over the internet to third-party music-recognition and music-search services so they can identify the track and find where to stream it. We do not upload or keep your original videos on any server we operate. Temporary working files live only in the app cache and are deleted after each identification.
3. What we store on your device
Your plan choice (Free/Pro) and consent preferences, stored locally. Nothing about you is stored on our servers.
4. Third parties
Third-party music recognition and search providers process the audio fingerprint / link to return a result; your data may be processed outside the EEA. On the free plan, ads are shown; if ad personalization is enabled, the ad provider (Google AdMob) may use advertising identifiers. You choose personalized or non-personalized ads at first launch and in Settings.
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given before first use and withdrawable at any time.
6. Your rights
You may access, rectify or erase your data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The main control is in-app: Settings → Delete my data wipes all local data; uninstalling removes everything. For other requests, contact tracewave.dev@gmail.com.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process children’s data.
8. Retention
Local data persists until you delete it or uninstall. Shared clips are processed transiently and not retained by us.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date will change, and material changes are shown in the app.
