We have been to nudist resorts from Florida to New York also in California and Arizona and the Caribbean. This WONDERFUL resort is the BEST OF THE BEST. The people are amazing friendly and so helpful, The grounds are immaculate the cleanest nudist resort we have ever stayed at. The pools both indoor and outdoor refreshing and spotless. The hot tub very clean and just the right temp. The sauna clean and ready to use. The hotel rooms were squeaky clean and very well equipped. We already made reservations for their Halloween party and are on the waitlist for the Beach bash in August. They are a five and a half hour drive and well worth the drive.

It was a blast had a very good time.People are friendly make you feel right at home.Place is clean sites are clean and nice.It rained the site was wet but nothing to bad.I highly recommand this place.It was our first trip there but not our last.Made some new friends.We were very happy with this resort.

Wanna let your hair down and relax, this is just the place to do that. What a great place for a long weekend of “glamping”. Who doesn’t enjoy a a great outdoor shower, here you can do that and many more activities that only require a towel, to sit on that is. We met (socially distanced due to the pandemic) people from all walks of life, from states as far as Connecticut. We all shared a common problem - no where to carry your smartphone, oh the tragedy! Instead we socialized in the pool, around the pool, over drinks, between meals. Thoroughly enjoyed doffing our duds, nourishing our bodies with vitamin D while floating in the saltwater pools. If you’re openminded and nonjudgmental, and willing to look beyond scars, wrinkles, and the facts of life this resort is a place to enjoy. The meals we had in the on-site restaurant and poolside snack bar were rather good. White Tail Resort serves up a truly relaxing getaway that only requires you pack a towel and a smile. …

Well, my birthday is this month, and Billy and I decided we would like try a Very "New Experience" for us both as a fun celebration !...."Camping in the Nude". WTR had some amenities on their resort / campground site that looked to fit us well. Nice Shaded RV Campsites, (it was August, and we travel with our Rescue Siberian Husky, and it is Very Important she enjoys the trip too !). The Friendly office Staff picked a Great Shady Spot for us to put our Camper. Immediately, we were able to see how Clean and Well Groomed the property is kept. The Picnic Tables on the campsites were "new", the Grass is Nicely Cut (and swept up) on ALL the areas, the "Salt Water Treated Pool" is Crystal Clear, and is 25 Meters Long too ! (Billy Loves Lap Swimming, and the pool even has a Lane available to do that). The Walking Trails are VERY Shaded, and were Perfect for dog walking. Bath Houses, rest rooms by the pool, public shower areas were "Spotless". We also noticed the everyone was very respectful of the property too. We do not smoke, but we also noticed that there was Not a "single" cigarette butt on the ground "anywhere" to be found. Almost right away, we had folks "sincerely" saying hello as we walked our dog by or entered the pool area. This included residents, and other camper folks too actually. I should mention that this was still during "COVID" issues, and the resort was making sure to keep the Guests as safe as they possible and follow ALL the rulings that Virginia has in place at this time. The Office, and any indoor areas had mask rulings in place, and every member or guest was staying observant of this too. (and staying 6 feet + apart and such, when in all of the areas). We saw staff wiping down "common areas" like the pool chaises and entry gates, rest room area access, and alike. This was VERY important to us. This was our First Travel during 2020 Season, and we really were happy to see everyone paying attention to this unfortunate national issue. OK, now to talk about how it felt to be out in our "birthday suits", for the first time in front of folks!....It was a "few moments of nervousness" but then it became such a GREAT Feeling. Billy and I found it to be a wonderful bonding experience for us too ! He and I have done a LOT of different and New / Life experiences together in our 20 years of marriage. Snow Boarding from a Helicopter, Scuba Diving, Tuna Fishing 100 miles out to sea, but, we both had to admit that this really made us feel so good about each other in a wonderful way. It was Truly Relaxing, and even fun. We are hoping this feeling stays fresh, and does not go away. From what we have discussed, with a few others, its "addicting" and continues with you, if you want it to. Well, I will finish this long long review, with two fun facts for you. In the first hour, we had called the office and extended our stay from 4 nights to 7 ! Yes, We have also decided to become members, which pays for itself after just after a couple of 1 week visits too. I will tell you one thing though, The ONLY Strange feeling we had, about the entire week, was putting our clothes back on to leave!. Thank you Bob and the Staff of WTR......and we will see you next week .....Billy and Linda. …

We love our visits to White Tail in Ivor, VA. We have been visiting for the past 7 years. Usually our visit is just a day trip. We live less than 2 hours away so it is convenient. Our time is mostly spent poolside. They offer a large outdoor pool that has a shallow entrance of 12 inches to a lap lane of 4.5 feet; also available is an indoor pool open year round and an indoor hot tub big enough fir a dozen folks. The are sand volleyball courts, a jumbo sized chess game, mini golf, a children’s playground, movie nights , dart tournaments, dances and so much more. There is a poolside snack bar with great burgers and more, a restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Also is a game room, gym, library, on site massages, There are spaces for RVs and tent camping. Mobile home rentals, camping cabins and hotel rooms. The hotel rooms are in double wide mobile units. Rooms 1&2 are on the back street of the camping area and have steps to get in and no deck or outdoor space. Rooms 3, 4&5 are just across from the pool. Each room has 2 double beds, a regular sized refrigerator, a microwave, and coffee maker, bathroom, table and 2 chairs, rooms 3-5 have a front deck with chairs in front of each unit and a ramp up. No unit is truly accessible but the ramp makes it easier. All units are very clean. The rooms are older, dated, very clean, but not terribly comfortable. Mattresses are older, plastic wrapped, indented so you kid of get stuck in a hole, and noisy. The plastic covering on them make them very noisy whenever you move. Unit 2 has the beds against the windows, beds could definitely benefit from headboards in all the units. Really like them to use white linens in all units to give the appearance of cleanliness instead of floral print patterns. Rooms would also be way more comfortable if there was one queen bed and a pull out sofa. In the room if you want to relax, watch tv, you with sit at the table or on the bed which isn’t very comfortable as in one instance you are leaning on the window. Also while the bathrooms are spotless, they are tight. The tubs have sliding doors making it difficult for anyone with a mobility issue to get in and out of. I showered at the open air showers at the pool. Replacing the tubs with walk-in showers would be a great plan. The common area is lovely, the people are friendly, my only complaints about the pool area are: Is looks like the scum line around the pool has not been scrubbed all summer The bottom of the pool needs to be vacuumed just have more and more sand The pool deck itself looks like it has not bee kept up. Discarded pool toys, floats, broken noodles should be collected nightly. So other than those free items we truly love coming to WTR. Noting better than swimming without a wet bathing suit. …

The facilities are exceptional with the large pool, enclosed hot tub, indoor pool, sauna, gym, restaurant, game room, library, event hall, mini golf, tennis and volleyball courts. They have plenty of planned events, so you’re sure to find something to do and you will meet people of all shapes, ages, sizes, and genders that are accepting and friendly. This was the first time at a campground that we didn’t lock our doors.

Came here with my husband for some R&R. Staff is very friendly and helpful....Ron at the snack bar is great, Annette in housekeeping is a gem and Bob in the office showed us the local grocery store...and gave us some local inside information. We are coming again! Felt like I was at a spa. Terrific time... absolutely beautiful place. Very clean and organized! You got it right Whitetail!

TERRIBLE!!! Beware if your gay, lesbian, transgender, feminist, or polyamorous. We have attended this establishment multiple times. During our last visit we were discriminated by the staff by our sexual identity. We are shocked. We did not exhibit any unacceptable behavior whatsoever. We merely enjoyed the sunshine, enjoyed the food, and socially chatted with a couple of people. We strictly followed their rules. Yet we cannot come back per their management. We called MULTIPLE times to speak with the managers, but the office staff refused to let us speak with them. This place is disgusting. PERIOD. Stay away unless you are the societal “norm.” Only 1 star given ONLY because I have to rate this place regardless. Not even worth the 1 star.

White Tail is great. The people there are very friendly and welcoming. The staff is terrific. We asked for extra pillows one day. They were in our room BEFORE we made the circle of the grounds! Very clean, very well taken care of, it truly feels like a small family community. The restaurant is very good as well. Simple but very tasty. The pools are wonderful. Well maintained. It really does seem like all the folks there look at this place with the same thoughts. We have visited twice now and both times we had a great time. It was nice to see the constant improvements and the care that is obviously put into providing such a nice place. ONLY COMPLAINT : its a long drive for us, wish they would expand! PS if u are into bird watching... there is a remarkable variety there. …

White Tail is one of the most visitor friendly nudist resorts i have ever visited. Whenever i am there the staff, and the member make me feel welcome and as if I am a member. there is always someone willing to help you out if you have a problem. I have had problems with my vehicle and got sick once while there, they were so helpful !!! if any one ever asks me which nudist resort I would recommend it would be White Tail
