The City Select 2 stroller was launched in the summer of 2021, replacing the older City Select and City Select Lux strollers. It offers 24 different seating configurations and can even transform into a triple stroller with the addition of a glider board (second seat and car seat are sold separately). The stroller folds 20% smaller than the previous models and weighs just five pounds less. It also comes with a wide assortment of accessories, including a belly bar (included in the Eco Collection version), second seat, handmuff and console for the parent.
The large storage basket could be able to hold a large amount of equipment. They also appreciated how easily the seats reclined and how there plenty of legroom for both kids. The brake pedal on the back is easy to reach and use using just one hand. While the stroller is larger and more difficult to maneuver, it's worth the extra space for parents who appreciate spacious strollers.
Another feature we love is that the City Select 2 is compatible with Baby Jogger, Britax, Graco, Chicco and Maxi-Cosi infant car seats (adapters sold separately). This means you can use a double or single stroller from birth until well past toddlerhood.
The stroller isn't cheap but it's probably the only stroller you'll ever need to buy, so if you're able to afford it we think it's worth the investment. This is especially true when you take into consideration the quality and durability of the build. The finish is stunning and the fabric connections are strong without being damaged or rumpled. The 5-point harness snaps easily together, and has a few adjustment options and is comfortable for children of all sizes. The seat cover is machine washable in cold water. Most testers were able to take it off and replace.
Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
The Delta Children LX Side-by-Side is an excellent option when you're in search of a double stroller. It's easy to move and can be tucked away in tight spaces. The stroller weighs 20 pounds and has seats that can hold kids up to 50 pounds each. Its large canopy protects against the elements of wind, sun and rain, and the seats recline for kids' comfort. The stroller is shorter than most others that we tested and can be opened up to 29 inches, which allows it to pass through doors that are standard 30 inches.
The stroller was not rated highly in terms of user-friendliness, partly because it is so basic it doesn't have storage containers or deep recline on the seats, and there's a small cup holder for parents on the handlebars. It has a 5-point safety harness with double-rethread straps that are simpler to adjust than those on other strollers.
During our test, we analyzed the ease of being able to turn, fold, and maneuver the products. Travel strollers typically have limited space in the trunk of cars, so folding and unfolding them is an absolute requirement. Strollers that fold easily and in just a few simple steps, as well as those with automatic locks, scored higher. Strollers that stand upright when folded and are folded with one hand also scored high.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the most easy to turn and push, whereas the Mountain Buggy Nano takes a bit more effort to handle but still does well in our test.
