Tonstarter x Hack-a-TON x Prague

Sergey Chikerev

I’ve been asked repeatedly, “How was the hackathon?!” So, I wanted to build on that experience and share it with those who weren’t there.

People want to communicate

In addition to the participants of the hackathon, there were many people who came just to see how such events are held. Among them were not only those who are looking for new clients or partners but also developers, designers, etc. Once again, I was convinced that there is no substitute for face-to-face communication. Meeting those with whom you share an idea or create something together is extremely valuable. And these meetings also make online communication much easier.

Talent

There were so many talented and creative people around! Almost everyone had an idea and a desire to do it better. Everything was accompanied by an incredible amount of discussion (there was plenty of inspiration). I was especially pleased with a large number of young guys with bright eyes who were able to convey an idea and make a minimal working product.

The guys from ecosystem products

Roman Krutovoy — Head of Onboarding, Ton Foundation, Robin — private investor, Sergey Ch — it's me, Justin Hyun — Head of Incubation, Ton Foundation

It’s cool that it was possible to gather not only participants but also those who already create large-scale products on TON. There were people from Tonkeeper, @wallet, StickerFace, TONSwap, Tonana, Tonstarter (of course) — sorry if I forgot someone. You could meet everyone in person and both ask for help with a specific task and chat over general visions.

Food — It’s hard to ignore this point :)

Because there was a lot of food and goodies! By the way, it was a great motivation for everyone to get up from the workplace, walk around, and meet people.

In total, these three days were extremely eventful. I have not had such an abundance of networking for a long time. Go to events, meet people, and expand your horizons. Thanks to TF, Tonana and everyone involved.
