TEC collective mindThe concept of a cryptocurrency wallet is not new and has been around for more than 10 years. Tonkeeper is a non-custodial 'hot wallet' that provides an interface through the wallet's smart contract. This allows users not only to deploy new wallets on the network and view their assets (Toncoin, Tokens, Collectibles) but also to manage these assets by independently signing transactions.
📌 Tonkeeper's advantages include:
• Currently, it is the only wallet that supports multiple versions of the wallet smart contract: v3R1, v3R2, v4R2 (not to be confused with multi-wallet support). As the TON network evolves, wallet versions change and actively develop, adding new features and capabilities. This enables users who used older versions to transition to new ones, transferring assets using the built-in smart contract or keeping assets on different versions without losing sight of them.
• Tonkeeper is one of the two current TON wallets (alongside MyTonWallet) that allows users to see their Collections (NFTs) within the application. However, only Tonkeeper in its interface allows sending NFTs and viewing their detailed characteristics, such as descriptions, attributes, and NFT smart-contract addresses.
• Tonkeeper is the only wallet with a fully integrated browser, allowing you to launch desired applications through their web links without leaving the wallet interface. While other wallets, such as Tonhub, allow you to add extensions or applications connected to your wallet, a full-fledged browser with DuckDuckGo or Google-based search is only available in Tonkeeper.
• Through the Explore service, popular and relevant services on the TON network have the opportunity to promote and become recognizable to users. This benefits both users and protocols:
– Users can trust the offerings as they undergo moderation. This allows even those without blockchain experience to quickly and easily use their Toncoins;
– It allows developers to effectively promote and develop their applications, attracting many new users.
• Tonkeeper's interface theme is primarily dark, but thanks to integration with NFT TON Diamonds, there is an option to partially change the color theme of certain parts of the interface to match the diamond's "Color" attribute.
👥 The Tonkeeper development team is associated with the TOP Labs venture platform. Previously, developers were involved in the development of the VK social network. The team participated in creating the TON Connect protocol, the development of the Tonviewer explorer, and the Tonapi indexer.
During the blockchain overload within hype mint the ton20 inscriptions protocol Tonano, the Tonkeeper team played a key role in solving the problem and informing users: a new service, tonviewer.com/blackout, was created to visually track unprocessed transactions and network congestion levels. In addition, the Telegram channel Tonkeeper News provided active updates to wallet users on the progress of issue resolution.

⚙️ Additional aspects that every user useful to know:
👀 For the convenience of displaying your balance and tokens relevant to you, Tonkeeper allows you to hide tokens (jettons) from the interface that are not of interest. This way, you can quickly hide spam sent to you without the need to get rid of it, or you can hide small balances. This feature also applies to NFTs, whose collections can be completely hidden.
👨💻 Tonkeeper has a Dev Menu - settings for advanced users or developers, which can be accessed by quickly pressing the application icon five times in the basic settings. One important function for regular users is switching the application between the mainnet/testnet. Another useful function is clearing the cache of transactions, tokens, and NFTs. The Dev Menu also offers logs and app config, where you can change the Tonapi host, enable the use of the HTTP protocol in the browser, and forcibly display version v4R1. Users who do not understand what these features are strongly recommended NOT to change settings in Dev Menu settings.
🚵 Tonkeeper is always on pulse of upgrades:
• Starting from version 3.5, you can not only buy TON for fiat inside the wallet but also exchange TON/tokens;
• A version for Linux and MAC OS was recently released;
• The team has developed a new application, Tonkeeper X, for fans, enthusiasts, and testers. Initially, it implements multi-account functionality (logging in with multiple seed phrases) and widgets for these accounts on the desktop. The application will be tested, improve performance, gather feedback and suggestions for development, and gradually implement the most requested features. When writing this article, the application is only available on Android.
