Disclaimer: Your actual experience with a fragrance will vary depending on your body chemistry and how you use the fragrance. I find Tom Ford's Oud Wood to be a beautiful masterpiece of perfumery. Oud as a fragrance ingredient is difficult to work with. It's very strong. It can have a very sharp, almost animallic, and even offensive nature. In Oud Wood for the Tom Ford line, perfumer Richard Herpin has managed to capture the beauty and mystery of Oud without any downside at all. What he has not done, however, is stripped the Oud of its beautiful character and expression. Oud is a note often stereotyped as associated with middle-eastern/Arabic-style perfumery, but Herpin here navigates around those stereotypes by perfectly featuring Oud in a decidedly-European/American-style fragrance. Style: Woody oriental Gender: Tom Ford sells Oud Wood as unisex. I've no doubt that there are a few woman out there who wear it; I'm not sure that I want to meet any of them. In my opinion, this is a very masculine fragrance. Age: This is, in my opinion, best suited for a more mature man, 30+. Dress Level: In my opinion, this is a dressy, formal fragrance, very classy. Dress appropriately. Time of Day: In my opinion, this is a fragrance that is best suited for evening and nighttime wear. Seasonality: In my opinion, this is a fragrance that is best suited for late-fall, winter, and early-spring, cooler weather. Oud can get a bit "funky" in the heat and sometimes doesn't always blend well with "natural body scents." Office/Work-appropriate: This depends entirely on your occupation and office, of course. But, I suspect that, for most of us, this is not an office/work scent. For most of us, this is likely to be a special-occasion/dress-to-impress sort of scent. "Signature"/everyday scent potential: This is a very personal choice, of course. But, for most of us, I suspect that this will not be a candidate for "signature"/everyday scent. It's just too formal for that and really strikes me as much more of an evening/nighttime scent. For most of us, this is likely to be a special-occasion/dress-to-impress sort of scent. Longevity: Outstanding, 12+ hours. Strength: This is an Eau De Parfum, so just a couple of sprays is all you need. The result is that a 50ml bottle lasts a long time. Projection (how far does the scent travel from the wearer): Average for masculine scents Sillage (how long does the scent linger after the wearer leaves): Average for masculine scents Loudness (how strongly does the scent assert itself above others in the air): Well above average... but in a classy way. Projection, Sillage, and Loudness together define what is sometimes called "power." You hear people talk about "powerhouse scents" vs. "skin scents" (those which stay close to the skin). Tom Ford Oud Wood is not a powerhouse, but it is no skin scent either; it is a well-behaved, well-proportioned gentleman's fragrance. Like the gentleman who would wear it, it's never too loud, not too strong, never offensive, but always contributes just the right touch of elegance and sophistication. The product I received exactly matched the sample I have from an unquestionable source, so I'm confident that it's authentic. The presentation is very good. The package arrived very, very fast. It was well-packaged. However, if I have a complaint is is that it is ordinary and expected for $300 fragrance purchases to come with a few samples to entice the buyer further; this supplier sent nothing.

Der Duft ist identisch zu den Tom Ford Oud Wood Düften, die ich bei Douglas, Easy Cosmetics ... usw. gekauft habe. Er hält lange und meine T-Shirts duften auch noch 1-2 Tage danach. Der Batchcode ist auch korrekt. Also kann ich den Kauf empfehlen und Leuten die Sorge nehmen, dass es sich um einen Fake handeln könnte. Ich kenne mich mit dieser Tatsache wirklich aus und achte selbst sehr penibel auf Originalität!

Es würde in 2 Tage geliefert und hätte Angst das ich eine Fälschung oder die 30ml bekomme und, und. Aber zu meine volle Überaschung, ich habe die 50ml bekommen, OVP und Original, Batchcode stimmt überein und riecht so schön. Wenn die performance des Duftes nicht ok ist, bedeutet nicht immer das eine Fälschung ist, Oud Wood ist bekannt für weniger performance in die letzte Jahren. Schauen wir mal wie es sich entwickelt. The Tom Ford Private Blend line is an excellent fragrance line from the house of Tom Ford. There are quite a lot of different fragrances in this line, nowadays.
Tom Ford is a well-known fragrance house. Not only do they have a lot of great mainstream fragrances, but they also have a Private Blend Collection.
“Private Blend is my own scent laboratory; it’s where i have the ability to create very special, original fragrances that are unconstrained by the conventions of mainstream scent-making. Private Blend is designed with the true fragrance connoisseur in mind.” —Tom Ford
These Private Blend fragrances are all pretty unique. They are all based on a single note, which gets expanded upon to create an interesting, unique fragrance. When you look at the fragrances in this list, you’ll see that all the names indicate what kind of scent you’re getting. For example, the fragrance Tom Ford Amber Absolute is based around the note amber.
The fragrances in the Private Blend Collection are a bit more expensive, though. This is a shame as it restricts these otherwise perfect fragrances from a lot of people. Luckily, there are many Tom Ford Private Blend decants, which are smaller bottles, sold for a cheaper price.
All the Tom Ford Private Blend fragrances are classed as unisex. They all smell amazing, and the ones on this list are in no particular order.
Scent: Tom Ford Tuscan Leather is an absolutely fantastic fragrance. It is a masculine fragrance with a leathery scent that just portrays masculinity. The scent is quite leathery with a nice touch of raspberries, creating a unique and interesting dynamic of a leathery and slightly fruity scent.
Notes: The notes in Tom Ford Tuscan Leather are saffron, raspberry, thyme, olibanum, night blooming jasmine, black suede, and amber wood.
Best for: Tom Ford Tuscan Leather is a fantastic take on the general leather fragrance. The scent you’re getting is luxurious and a little playful. This makes this fragrance perfect for the office when you’re a little dressed up. The leathery scent gives off a professional vibe, while still being a bit casual. This fragrance does have a bit of a richer scent, making it work better during the colder months.
Scent: Tom Ford Oud Wood is a fantastic take on an oud fragrance. Tom Ford Oud Wood starts off with a wet wood scent, which stays somewhat linear throughout the lifetime of this fragrance. This fragrance is a fantastic mix of woods and oud, creating this phenomenal scent.
