Today's Knot Privacy Policy

Effective 24 August 2026. This policy explains what data the Today's Knot app uses. We do not create accounts, and we do not run our own analytics.

Who we are

Today's Knot is a daily arrow puzzle for Android and iOS.

Information stored on your device

Game progress stays on your device using local storage. This includes:

• Practice level progress, stars, and unlocks
• Daily puzzle results, streak, and tap count
• Settings such as haptics and streak reminders

We cannot read this data from our servers because we do not operate an app backend. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app deletes it.

Notifications

If you enable streak reminders, the app schedules a local notification on your device (by default 8:00 PM) so you do not miss the daily board. The reminder uses your device timezone and is not sent through our servers. You can turn it off in Settings.

Sharing

If you choose Share result, the operating system share sheet opens. We do not receive the people you share with or the contents of that share.

Advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob: a banner on the play screen, and an optional interstitial if you watch for an extra hint or continue after losing, and occasionally between practice levels. Ads never appear after you win a board.

Google and its advertising partners may collect or process:

• Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID on Android; IDFA on iOS if you allow tracking)
• IP address and approximate location derived from IP
• Device and app information (model, OS version, language)
• Ad views, clicks, and related diagnostic data

On Android the app declares the Advertising ID permission. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt may appear; you can refuse tracking.

Google's ads are covered by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in device settings (Google settings on Android; Apple Tracking / Privacy settings on iOS).

What we do not collect

• No account, email, or profile inside the app
• No precise GPS location
• No contacts, photos, or microphone
• No payment or purchase data (the app has no in-app purchases)
• No first-party analytics SDK

Children

Today's Knot is a puzzle game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. If you are a parent and believe a child has provided personal information through ads, contact us and we will help with any request we can fulfill.

Data retention and deletion

Local game data remains until you reset progress in Settings, clear app storage, or uninstall. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies. To stop ads-related collection, uninstall the app and use the advertising opt-outs above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict certain personal data, and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. We do not sell your information. For advertising data held by Google, use Google's tools or contact us and we will point you to the right request path.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
