Keepsakes are items that can be equipped to obtain some sort of benefit during an escape attempt. They are acquired by giving Nectar to various characters. Hades is unique as in his keepsake is only available after finishing the main storyline. If you give him any Nectar before doing so you will not receive the keepsake.
A keepsake can be equipped in the display case in the courtyard before a run. Once a keepsake is equipped, it cannot be removed, only exchanged for a different one. Keepsakes may be changed mid-run after defeating the final boss of each area, in the room after the boss. Closing the keepsake display after changing keepsakes will lock the display from being accessed again until the next post-boss room. If you switch out of a keepsake mid-run, you cannot switch back to it for the rest of the run.
Keepsakes automatically get permanently upgraded when enough encounters are cleared while the keepsake is equipped. A cumulative total of 25 encounters cleared is required for upgrading a keepsake to rank 2 and 50 additional encounters are needed for rank 3.
Olympian keepsakes (e.g. Aphrodite's Eternal Rose, or Poseidon's Conch Shell) do not guarantee that the boon will appear in the first room - only that the next time a boon is generated, it will be from that god. They also work only once per run, unequipping and equipping them between biomes does not reset the effect. A Hermes boon or a Trial of the Gods can appear before a regular boon, but it won't consume the keepsake's effect. Hermes's own keepsake, the Lambent Plume, does not call upon him like the other Olympian keepsakes.
Some of characters give you Companions (also known as Legendary Keepsakes). They are acquired by giving Ambrosia to that character after completing a quest for them.
Take 20/25/30% less damage from the front, but 10% more from the back.
Deal 10/15/20% damage striking undamaged foes; also striking foes from behind.
Gain +1/1.5/2% damage for each Encounter you clear without taking damage.
Items from the Well of Charon have durations increased by +4/6/8 Encounters.
Receive 100/125/150 to spend as you please (once per escape attempt).
Deal 20/30/40% more damage while at 35% or less.
Deal 10/20/30% more damage to distant foes (at least 500 units away).
Broken urns have a 3/5/6% chance to contain healing items.
Automatically restore up to 50/75/100 when your Life Total is depleted (once per escape attempt).
The next Boon you find will be from Zeus. His blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
The next Boon you find will be from Poseidon. His blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
The next Boon you find will be from Athena. Her blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
The next Boon you find will be from Aphrodite. Her blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
The next Boon you find will be from Ares. His blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
The next Boon you find will be from Artemis. Her blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
The next Boon you find will be from Dionysus. His blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
("Quickly" varies based on the encounter type and biome. More time will be offered in higher biomes,
and in special encounters, such as bosses, mini-bosses, and Thanatos Encounters.)
The next Boon you find will be from Demeter. Her blessings have +10/15/20% chance to be Rare or better.
Enter Chaos Gates without losing . Blessings from Chaos have +20/30/40% chance to be Rare or better.
Your Attack, Special, and Cast each deal +50/75/100% damage while not empowered by a Boon.
In the final encounter in each underworld region, take 0 damage the first 3/4/5 times foes hit you.
After taking damage, become invulnerable for 1/1.25/1.5 sec. Refreshes after 7 Sec.
After every 6/5/4 Encounters, gain +1 Lv. (a random Boon grows stronger).
Your Call becomes Hades' Aid, which briefly makes you Invisible; your God Gauge starts 10/20/30% full.
