6 hours ago most of the shops went down for a while. I was using Luffshop from carcaschoi and yet not one shop was working. After some searching I decided to get tits pro. Immediately I had access to everything!
There are 4 advantages to tits pro over other shops:
You are supporting the community as all donations go into expanding all the stores
Because tits pro is private it is less likely to shutdown compared to other shops
You gain access to Retroarch titles through Tinfoil. Nothing new, but this is a time saver
You get early access to many titles
Now, gaining access to tits pro is quite simple. Go to the turtle in the shell discord, open #info-check-here-first and there will be instructions. For information on where to get ecard codes read #support-nintendo.
I donated a 500 yen card and got access to the shop within 10 minutes. You can also donate codes in USD, EUR, CAD, GBP & AUD but it will take a day or two to get access. In discord there are instructions on how to buy a 500 yen card for about $4 USD.

If you are having a problem with running games then make sure you have up-to-date sigpatches . If you cannot launch tinfoil then make sure you followed the Rentry guide to set up cfw.

Just to clarify: the eshop cards are all used to purchase new games and DLC, they don't show up out of thin air for free

I'm a fairly new contributor in tits discord, but do I need to do anything else to get contributor roles in the other discords or will I get it eventually? I've already gotten the role in the tits discord. :)

i’ve never used a shop. seems kinda slow and undependable because they go down all the time, i just download mine from website in like less than 30 minutes
I’ve done both. Tinfoil is just a lot more convenient. You don’t need to take your sd card out. Also there is just one download. If you use nro from a website you need to download it onto PC, transfer it to sd card, then install it using an app like goldleaf. That process ends up taking just as long or longer than just using Wi-Fi especially for smaller games.
