When you think about Tina Fey’s career, you probably think about her work on 30 Rock , her time as Weekend Update anchor/ Saturday Night Live head writer, or even the fact that she wrote Mean Girls and (arguably) altered a presidential election with the force of her Sarah Palin impersonation . But Fey doesn’t get enough credit for her other work at SNL . Namely, her role in some of the show’s best fake ads. With that in mind, here’s a look back at Fey’s work shilling stuff you can’t buy and shouldn’t want.
[protected-iframe id=”24c7bcaaf09224dcc66d6faaa95e2a6d-60970621-38585300″ info=”https://screen.yahoo.com/kotex-classic-000000500.html?format=embed” width=”640″ height=”360″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no”]
In this parody ad, SNL imagines a world where our nostalgia fetish enters the world of feminine care products, resulting in a harness-aided apparatus that puts the MAX in maxi-pad. It’s also not exactly stealthy when paired with contemporary fashion, although…

How there was never a Kotex Classic/Mom Jeans crossover is beyond me. In this ad, Fey, Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph parade around happily in their mom jeans because, as the ad says, they’ve given up. A mother of two, Fey’s fashion sense is streets ahead of mom jeans, but not everyone is so lucky .

I won’t tell you that there’s any man in existence who can compete with a man-shaped brownie filled with caramel, and who’s only 90 seconds away from being a warm presence in your arms. But while you may give him all of your love, he will surely give you diabetes.

“It’s a robot, and it cleans my business. My lady business, and I like that.” — Tina Fey
If Bicentennial Man had gone with that tagline, it might have made double box office bank in its opening weekend. The Woomba is, essentially, a rise of the machines nightmare merged with a douche commercial. Maya Rudolph isn’t frolicking, freed from the burden of worrying about freshness. She’s running for her life!
[protected-iframe id=”39efe2201506e24ba42cbab053ec44f5-60970621-38585300″ info=”https://screen.yahoo.com/annuale-000000661.html?format=embed” width=”640″ height=”360″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no”]
First, I have another mashup request… ax-wielding Tina Fey vs. Rogue Woomba, please and thank you.
Second, the best part of this sketch, about a birth control pill that pushes a woman’s period off every month until she compiles at the end of the year, is the disclaimer at the end:
“Do not take if you are using MAOI Inhibitors or if occupation requires you to operate heavy machinery. Do not take Annuale if you plan to ever become pregnant, as it may turn your baby into a firemonster. In the days around your period, you may develop of a leathery tail. Annuale may cause you to develop a secon vagina. Notify authorities in your town when your period is imminent as they may want to incarcerate you pre-emptively like a wolfman.”
I would like the baby firemonster to ride with ax-wielding Tina Fey in her war against the Rogue Woomba and the Brownie Men.

Tina Fey was born in the greater Philadelphia area and now earns enough money to buy the greater Philadelphia area.
It is probably not surprising that Fey became an accomplished comedian, writer, and actress since she graduated from the super-secret top drama school in the world — the drama department at Upper Darby High School. She then began her plans for world conquest in between drinking bouts at the University of Virginia.

Celebrities: they’re (sometimes) just like us! And just like you and me, they all have to lose their virginity, even Taylor Swift (even if it is to a stuffed Care Bear). In a US study, it said the average age boys lose their virginity is 16 and the average age for girls is 17, but that doesn’t mean we all meet the average. Hell, some of us aren’t even close!
As someone who is weirdly obsessed with celebrity sex (I have no shame in admitting this), I basically know when and how every famous bitch in Hollywood has lost their V-card, and I’ve decided to share some of the more surprising “first time” stories with you, because we all know I’m not the only one who loves this shit!
Let’s be honest, most award shows are pretty typical and boring.? It’s all PC jokes that barely scratch the insult surface, which I make my bread and butter on, and the award winners are rarely a surprise.? But if you look hard enough, in every show there are bright moments that are worth talking about.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the Golden Globes this year for the second time, and between their humor and a few unscripted moments from other celebrities, there were actually quite a few amusing moments.? I narrowed them down to my personal 5 favorites, which doesn’t mean they were the funniest or the best.? Just the 5 I didn’t hate the idea of writing about.
Oh, Taylor Swift. You should think twice before sassing Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
In the April issue of Vanity Fair, Taylor addresses some of the gossipy?drama?that'swirls around her, including?her serial dating and the resulting public mockery … but rather than?dispelling the rumors, she somehow manages?to?bolster her image as an insecure,?possibly-delusional, boy-crazy loon.
Hurray! Another utterly pointless awards ceremony is rolling into our collective consciousness to make us take sides between things that can actually be enjoyed simultaneously!
Of course, the real winners in all of this are America’s coke-dealers and the Emmy Awards is timed perfectly so that the dope pushers will have a really bumper Christmas this year. Plastic surgeons are also stocking up on septum repair kits too. How amazingly heartwarming.
The Emmys, as you definitely know, celebrate the best in American television and will be held on Sunday, September 18th… shown on Fox who everyone hates at the moment. And the big guns making vague headlines are Modern Family (*shrug*) and the utter dross that is The Big Bang Theory. In drama, the wonderful trio of Mad Men, Game of Thrones, and The Good Wife bag several nominations. Let us peer at the rest of the nominations over the jump.

Feature length animations! HAR HAR! They’re funny aren’t they? You’re only ever 2 feet away from someone who is thinking “it’s good this film because it has some jokes for the adults in as well!” INNUENDO! HAR HAR!
Of course, these things are all exercises in cynicism, but y’know, all films are aren’t they? Why are we even whining about it? We’re jaded, that’s why. Please don’t copy our attitude and behaviour because it’ll only end up in a failed cry for help.
Anyway, (cue: Fanfare) From the studio that brought you ‘Shrek’, ‘Madagascar’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda’ comes a film about a diabolical super-villain called Megamind who has failed to conquer Earth for over 20 years. That’s because caped superhero Metro Man keeps getting in his way.

Two big new movie releases this week. One was Date Night – a film that combines the superlative comic talents of Steve Carell and Tina Fey.
The other was Letters To God. Letters To God describes itself as ‘a heartfelt tale of inspiration, hope and redemption’, features a cancer patient writing things like “Dear God, can you see the stars from heaven?” from the roof of his house, has a trailer that mentions God at least four times a minute and which has inspired YouTube comments such as “my opinion is, God is an awesome God! And the only God!” . So which film triumphed at the weekend box office this week?
Date Night , obviously. Letters To God didn’t even make the top five. Seriously, it sounds rubbish .
Like movie stars and music moguls, television people like nothing better than an evening of expensive outfits, impressive golden statuettes changing hands, and beautiful faces all sitting around telling one another just how brilliant they all are at their jobs. It’s only a shame that such wonderful nights out don’t stretch into normal jobs.
We shall only ever dream of a day when undervalued stone masons and building site skivvies get to breeze around outside hotels shouting details of their suits/blouses to hysterical reporters. What a great day that would be.
With The Noughties almost at an end, it's time to reflect.
How will they best be remembered? Will people look back at a decade of global disasters, like 9/11, the world banking crisis and George W Bush ? Or even the rise of talentless celebs such as Lily Allen, Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears ?
Well, we could list things all day, but being the shallow idiots we are, we have instead decided to focus on what really matters ? the sexiest women. Call it a study of our shifting ideas about beauty and fashion if you like, but it's really just another excuse to scour the internet for pictures of sexy girls.

Grown Up Gossip & Internet Villainy
Angie Harmon found the limelight at an early age. She began her career as a child model and went on to appear on the cover of Elle , Cosmopolitan , and Esquire magazines.
Harmon’s life changed in 1995 when she was spotted on a plane by David Hasselhoff. As “The Hoff” had yet to sully his reputation by drunkenly wallowing on the floor in a pile of fast food, Harmon agreed to a role on Baywatch Nights .
New Jersey native Kelly Ripa began her TV acting career as goth party girl Hayley Vaughan on ABC’s All My Children .
Since 2001, Ripa has been showcasing her excessive perkiness on Live! With Kelly . After original co-host Regis Philbin left in 2011, there was a string of celebrity fill-ins that included Jerry Seinfeld, Neil Patrick Harris, and Howie Mandel.
It was ex-football player Michael Strahan who eventually ended up landing the gig. In 2016, however, he announced he was leaving Live! to join Good Morning America . His announcement caused Ripa to throw an epic tantrum, during which she refused to show up on set for four days. Unsurprisingly, Ripa has been hosting the show solo ever since.
Actress Rashida Jones has appeared in several popular TV shows, including NBC’s Parks and Recreation , Fox’s Boston Public , and NBC’s The Office .
Jones’ acting debut came in The Last Don , a miniseries based on the book by Mario Puzo of The Godfather fame. Fuggedaboutit. Jones has also lent her vocal talents to Fox’s The Simpsons and Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken , and she provided background vocals on Maroon 5’s debut album Songs About Jane .
Primarily known for playing Ann Perkins on Parks and Recreation , Rashida is the daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones and her mom is actress Peggy Lipton. Yes, she’s half-black. And a practicing Jew. She’s blessed with good genes, we might add.
Show business is filled with people who weren’t able to win their season of American Idol , but still managed to have success careers after the show.
While Katherine McPhee hasn’t won an Oscar like Jennifer Hudson, she’s built a solid singing and acting career. In fact, she’s had a lot more post-show success than singer Taylor Hicks, who beat her out to win season five of Idol .
She’s had several post-show hits, although you’d probably be hard-pressed to identify “Over It” or “Had It All” without some help. But her acting work has been much more successful. She’s done several movies, starred in the NBC musical series Smash before being cast as “Paige Dineen” on the CBS drama Scorpion .
NASCAR racer Danica Patrick showed early signs of being a speed demon. At age 10, she began racing go-karts in her home state of Wisconsin. After turning 16, Patrick moved to England.
She claimed it was to further her racing career, but one has to imagine it may have been to get as far away from Wisconsin as humanly possible. As of 2012, Patrick was the second woman ever to compete in both the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500.
Successful child actors strike me as enigmas. First of all, I am initially amazed at the parental commitment required once they decide to submit their offspring to such a lucrative yet slightly exploitative career.
Nevertheless, without these bold parents, we would not get to appreciate actor prodigies such as Dakota Fanning, who made her first very dramatic appearance in I Am Sam, wherein she appeared to have an adult’s persona and maturity shrunken into the waif-like body of an eight-year-old.
She then appeared in notable films like Uptown Girls, The Cat in the Hat, Man on Fire, War of the Worlds, Dreamer and Charlotte’s Web . Here’s a nice little recap of all her best work so far:
Lea Thompson will forever been known for role as Lorraine Baines in the Back to the Future movies. Who wouldn’t want a hot mom like her?
The 80’s were a wonderful time. They gave us beautiful female stars like Kelly Preston , Elisabeth Shue and of course, Lea Thompson… all of whom had no problems with getting naked on-screen.
Lea Thompson stands out in that quorum of great actresses with memorable roles in classics such as Back to the Future and its sequels. Her subsequent sitcom Caroline in the City survived four seasons before ratings sent “Caroline” back to being Lea again.
Leah Remini is an actress but she’s primarily known for her anti-Scientology activism. She even produces her show regarding alleged maltreatment of members of the Church.
So far Remini has enjoyed a successful acting career, including a leading role in nine years of the The King of Queens alongside Kevin James and as a panel member of daytime talk show The View . She also had a leading role in the movie Old School , and even had her show called Leah Remini: It’s All Relative.
Her documentary blast against the church is called Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. It’s an entertaining watch if you have time to kill.
Amanda Bynes was a child star with a great career in the late 90’s and early 2000s. From having her own show, The Amanda Show to co-starring in two big sitcoms, All That and What I Like About You , Amanda seemed destined for canned laugh track greatness.
But that was not the case. Bynes acted in a handful of movies including: Hairspray , What A Girl Wants , and Easy A before exhibiting erratic public behavior, which includes getting in trouble with the law a few times before being hospitalized for a rumored schizophrenic episode.
