Elite Dangerous is a space simulator game by Frontier Developments based in the year 3308. Your CMDR flies spaceships and participates in exploring a 1:1 scale Milky Way, trade between star systems, bounty-hunting wanted ships, discover alien lifeforms, and even pirate other ships for their cargo.

ELI5: what makes this better/different when compared to Slopey's?
Thrudd's requires you to name one of the systems you plan to trade at while Slopey's does not. This makes the search results much much faster but obviously far more limited.
If you're at a station where you've been seeing a lot of missions you like or whatever you could use Thrudd's to find out what other system and what commodity you trade there for maximum profit.
If you just want to maximize your commodity trading profit by trading between any two systems you can use Slopey's tool to find the two systems anywhere in the galaxy where trade would be most profitable. You can also limit the search to jumps that are exactly within the range of your ship.
no need for any 'unknown' .exe binary
Is Slopey's still around? I can't find a link the sidebar takes me to an old post where none of the links work.
If only Slopey and Zipidie could share the data we add to their data sets.
just came in to ask the same... the bizarre redirect makes me wonder if someone hacked/sniped the dns entry. also showed up as a more-or-less-blank wordpress site for a while before it would redirect.

i believe it did. I just tried to get on and i was redirected. weird.
It seems to be back up. It does look like a hacking attempt. Was redirecting very weirdly.
EDIT; It has been updated! There are more tools like limiting the search to stations that are no more than a certain distance from the main star.
Trying to use this tool when just starting out, would be nice to have a sub 7 LY jump option as the lowest to get those credits so you can improve your jump limit.
I know you can sort by distance but I'd rather sort by profit :p
You can sort by distance and then hold SHIFT while clicking on profit to do secondary sorting while keeping distance sorting.
Sweet, love this tool. Honestly I haven't even been playing much since this was out of whack with new Beta stuff. Good Jorb, keep it up.

This website was amazing before they introduced systems with more than one market. Is it going to continue working now?
Thrudd is actively working on adjusting to the Gamma release changes
I thought the market data was getting obfuscated after Beta 2?
it is, this tool is manually typed, crowdsource by volunteers ... tho Frontier devs shared some hundreds star systems
A very useful tool you have there :) Do you have plans for an Android version?
It's all web-based. The page is workable on mobile (though a bit awkward at times), but no app that I'm aware of.
Thrudd's relies on the API of ED Star Coordinator (another awesome crowd-sourced service for collecting system coordinates), and EDSC just updated their API (on 8th Nov), so I'm hoping Thrudd's stars will be back soon.

Release Thrudds closing down - anyone able to take it over?

Thrudds ( http://www.elitetradingtool.co.uk/ ) is closing down on the 24th - Cmdr Thrudd has offered the source code and database to anyone willing and able to take it over. I can't possibly do it but I have not seen anything else about it on the fora and wondered if anyone was considering taking it on?

Ahhh, I think the technical term is "". Just got back into the game after a couple of years. Horizons, Wings and God knows what else has changed and I have lost my compass as to where to go next!
