Jincheng Zhang is a Chinese stolen music uploader, with his videos primarily being uploaded onto YouTube. His music is stolen from commissioned music composers such as Silent Partner and Kevin Macleod .
Jincheng Zhang built a career on social media platforms through downloading and uploading preexisting music under his own name. He monetises the stolen music and owns his website to sell his products. The original music videos are hard to find, especially since many song finding programs match with his videos first. Jincheng deletes comments posted by bots that credits the original musics' creators, as well as threatening death upon people who attempt to expose him. On July 2021, Jincheng Zhang hijacked his article on EverybodyWiki and used it to promote his YouTube channel. Jincheng is known to be someone who cannot face criticism, through his constant attempts to silence and cover up evidence of his music thievery. Overall, he is heavily disliked by the internet music community.
The following list contains some of Jincheng Zhang's stolen music:
These are only some examples of music stolen from original song composers.
Jincheng Zhang has occasionally attempted to create original music. His songs usually consist of off pitch singing, with a guitar accompaniment comprised of made up chords and improper strumming technique. It is apparent that Jincheng does not actually know how to sing, compose music, nor play guitar. Jincheng often removes comments that criticize him for his clear lack of musical ability. Similarly to the music he steals, his original music is named nonsensically and in broken English.
Jincheng Zhang's most popular original song, entitled: 'Have Not Seen You for a Long Time' was uploaded to YouTube on August 9, 2021. It features Jincheng's signature poor guitar playing and unintelligible, off pitch mumbling. All critical comments on this video have been subsequently removed.
