Combichrist dropped off of my radar for awhile. I stopped listening after "Everybody Hates You" until recently with the purchase of "Making Monsters". Combichrist has interesting remixes for other bands and while I did find E.H.Y. good, I also thought it was a tad repetitive. This is more praise than review(as this album is more "single" than "remixes"), but there's a point to this short rant. I bought "Making Monsters" because a short time before this single was released, Metropolis and Combichrist released the "Throat Full of Glass (Tough Guy Edit by S.A.M.)" on youtube and I listened to it over and over again. That led me to the recent album, then back to the single today. I'm just going to throw this out there, but I think the "Tough Guy Edit by S.A.M." remix is better than the original! It sounds more fluid and interesting. True, I listened to the remix first, but I picked up both because of this song. I had liked the different direction of the lastest Combichrist sound and the rest is history. I hope Andy and the gang continue to take that punk rock attitude into the next album. P.S. I DO like Panzer AG and hope more is planned from them as well.
