Three Free Seconds: How the Daily Plain Game Timer Spends Altitude
ChaoziThe Daily Plain Game on plaingame.fun is seven rounds: five name rounds and two number rounds, thirty seconds each. Accuracy points and final altitude are different measures, because the timer spends altitude while you think.
What the clock costs
According to the timed-rounds guide and the scoring page:
- The first three seconds are free reading time.
- After that, altitude falls at four metres per second, up to 108 metres over the round (about 11 points of altitude if you use the whole clock).
- Every accuracy point still lifts the plane by ten metres. A closer answer can easily outweigh a few seconds of drift.
A simple structure
- 0–3s: read the unit and whether it is a name or number round.
- 3–10s: lock the order of magnitude.
- 10–20s: adjust once from one reference you trust.
- 20–30s: type, check the unit, submit.
For name rounds, pick a full suggestion. An unknown name does not consume the turn, but the clock keeps running. The daily flight resets at midnight America/New_York; practice and untimed Discovery are on the game modes page if you want another seven rounds today.
