"The reader opens the book, and the book opens the reader. Open The Think-(W)hole and see what happens." Cindy Bainbridge (www.bluegatefarmstudio.com) "Smart and playful storytelling at its best, The Think-(W)hole will tickle your funny bone and your brain." Shannon O'Neill (www.soundslikeshannon.net) "Warm, witty, and whimsical, the animal characters of The Think-(W)hole will charm their way into your heart." Sue McKinney (www.dogfunforever.com) The Think-(W)hole is a laugh out loud 21st century fairy-tale. This magical fiction is a treasure chest of quirky characters, double meanings, secret connections, and a virtual video game of thought for readers of all ages. Follow best friends, Razzle and Bismarck, as the forever questing lion and the always hungry rabbit climb to the top of Serpent Mountain in search of the Think-Hole. Passing through the colors of a rainbow dropped by a juggling wizard, they meet the caretakers of each layer: Amigo, the sculpting woodpecker of the Sanguinary; the butterfly poet Mandarin who helps them find the lost path; Willy-Nilly, the thought-climbing goat; the gazelle Ephemera who teaches them the path of least resistance; Contra the fox who's in constant battle with The Whispers who are trying to control him; and finally, the unicorn Adage and his side-kick snake who offer their version of the truth. Debbie Blalock received a B.A. in English Literature from Duke University in 1974. She lives in Durham, North Carolina on Palofields Farm with her two adopted beagles, Sonnet and Soliloquy, and manages a retirement home for horses. Her books include Mind Whispers and Inner Waves. Under her Read and Do Good program, these titles are offered at a bookseller discount to charitable organizations for use as a fund-raising tool. Rich in meaning, but you'll be laughing all the way to the the top. Blalock's creatures are endearing! This is a wonderful modern mystical journey.

This book is beyond the beyond! Is it double entendre or the magical mystery tour? I would say all of that, and more! This book wraps around your mind in the most engaging way. The characters are precious...wise and yet innocent; sometimes brave and sometimes fearful--a wonderful roller coaster of emotion that feels all too familiar. Ms. Blalock has once again come forth with a book that is a rare combination of fantasy and depth. How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go...it's all in fun!

If you enjoyed "Mind Whispers" you will love "The Think-[W]hole". Her books are a good read with intelligent design and a thoughtful philosophy.

Ok, it hasn't even been two hours and I'm fed up with J's cell phone. He's been playing with the damned thing, and apparantly it has impaired his hearing, because I've tried to talk to him twice, and...nothing. No reply whatsoever. Yeah, yeah, I know--what else is new? But I'm just sick of him playing with the stupid thing. I'm sick of electronic toys being the priority here. Yeah, I know that when I leave he'll need a phone, but I'll bet that phone costs as much per month as a house phone would. It's just a friggin' TOY. A regular phone would be much more practical. It allows internet access from the house, and the internet answering machine--IN CASE someone would like to get in touch with him. And the house. Why is it that I've tried and tried to get him to help me organize this place, and it's gone in one ear and out the other, UNTIL now? Why the hell is neatness such a high friggin' priority now that I'm LEAVING?? Yeah, I know I should be jumping for joy that he's actually helping organize our junk, but I actually find it offensive as hell. It's like the place isn't worth cleaning until I'm gone or something. And it's such a big thing now. I'm expected to help organize everything in preparation for my leaving. It feels like an INSULT. Ok, I'm trying to get across exactly why I'm aggravated here, and I don't think I'm doing a very good job of it. I'm aggravated because now that I'm leaving, he's started doing everything I've been asking him to help me do for the last three years. As if it were HIS idea. Like he's trying to make sure the house is clean and neat so that when people come over, he can say, "look how neat the place is now that they're gone" or something. THAT'S why I'm pissed off. I feel offended and insulted. But, as per the agreement, I will attempt to not blow things out of proportion. It's possible that a wild hair snuck up his ass in the night and activated the "cleaning" cells in his brain or something. I doubt it, but I suppose it's possible. Whew. I'm glad I got that out of my system. Sidhe

Testing, testing... Ok, introduction... Hi, I'm LadySidhe, and this is my blog....it's actually an addition to my Think Hole board (http://ladysidhe.proboards39.com/index.cgi?). We talk about all kinds of things there, if you'd like to visit. This site is for Thinks. Not really for any subject in particular, just "y'know, I was sittin' on the can the other day, and I got to thinking...." kind of stuff. It can be anything, barring spam, advertisements, and such. You know what I'm talking about. So come on, people. Get to Thinking! Sidhe

This is a place for Thinks: Personal opinions on things, poetry, anything that you've come up with on your own. Interesting ideas, hobbies, questions, rants...anything you'd like to discuss or share. Debating is encouraged.
