Chinese American here. My girlfriend doesn't speak Chinese and the language isn't a major priority for her. If I ever do become a parent, is it possible for my kids to learn the language even if only one parent speaks it? What can I do? I'm afraid of not being able to pass on the language. Thanks for any anecdotes or advice.
What is is rare to see blasian couples or a Blasian person on TV and in movies. Like i just watched Runaways and they purposely down played the blasian couple and set them up for a break up in favour or white and asian couple
The majority of my ex girlfriends have been black but since college I’ve been dating outside my race (White, Korea, Laotian) and something just clicked with Asian women.
I can’t explain how and why my attraction changed after dating black women the majority of my life. My longest relationships have been with a Korean girl 2yrs and a Laotian girl 6yrs. Is it wrong for me to want my wife to be Asian? I’m asking because I got accused of fetishizing Asian women. Which seems crazy because like I’ve said I’ve held down long term committed relationships with my last 2 ex-gfs!
I definitely have a strict preference for Asian women but I don’t feel like I fetishize them. I’ve met Asian women that prefer to only date black men and that’s not offensive to me I think it’s beautiful to be honest. Anyway now I’m just second guessing myself.
What advice can you give me on approaching Asian women so I don’t come off the wrong way!?
Hi there everyone, I am posting here because I think this might be a sub for me to speak out about my current frustrations.
I am a Vietnamese woman in my 20s and my fiance is Blasian (Half Filipino/Half African American) and right now, me and my parents have been going back and forth at each other for months, due to the fact that my fiance is not Vietnamese. It upsets me when they speak badly about him and also say very nasty racist things ( sometimes, even to his face ), just because he doesn't fit their standards of what their future son-in-law should be.
Honestly, I am sick and tired of what they want for me. The good news is that me and my SO are financially independent, so I don't have to worry too much about depending on them.
Does anyone on this sub have any helpful suggestions about what I should do? Should I cut off contact with them or not? What else do you think I should do? I am open to anything you have to say.
