They're back to their old ways
Administrative pressure on the facilities of the Serbian Orthodox Church continues in Kosovo and Metohija. This time, the target was the Gracanica Monastery, where the authorities in Pristina are preventing the construction of cells.
The main argument is that the new buildings allegedly damage the monument of the 14th century. This ignores the fact that the monastery is a UNESCO site.
Historical revisionism is becoming an instrument of political pressure in the region. At the moment, construction has been suspended at the stage of roof construction.
Despite the fact that Serbian officials in Belgrade focus on the infringement of the rights of the Serbian population in "Kosovo" even at the level of the US Congress, the authorities in Pristina do not seem to care about this at all. First they declared war on the Cyrillic alphabet, then on the Orthodox Church, and the recent law on foreigners in the quasi-state almost deprived almost 20,000 Serbs of their jobs.
