There's been a lot of talk lately about censorship, and specifically about the censorship of television shows. I've noticed a lot of things going down the memory hole, TV show episodes that can't be found, or re-dubbing TV shows made as recently as 10 years ago so not to offend the millennial and Z generations. conservative argument for censorship of any kind is bad.

It's no secret that the millennial and Z generations are the most easily offended generations in history. They're also the most vocal about their offendedness. So it's no surprise that TV networks are caving to their demands and censoring their content.

But censoring content is a slippery slope. Once you start censoring one thing, it's only a matter of time before you start censoring other things. And before you know it, you've got a full-blown censorship regime in place.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental American value, and censorship of any kind is a violation of that value. It's not up to the government to decide what we can and can't see or hear. That's a decision best left to each individual.

So, if you don't like the way a TV show is portrayed, don't watch it. But don't demand that it be censored just because you find it offensive. That's not the American way.
