In addition to the fleet of attack helicopters, transport helicopters will also be supplied to Israel. As part of the previously concluded contract, the United States will transfer 12 multipurpose CH-53K Sea Stallion by the end of the year.

They are supposed to replace outdated versions of the CH-53 already in service with the Israelis: according to local media reports, helicopters are increasingly causing maintenance difficulties due to high wear. In addition, the new machines are more load-bearing and better protected.

The Elbit Systems concern will also keep its hands warm on the contract (much less without it). Under the terms of a $130 million contract, the company will produce and implement avionics, control systems, electronic warfare and other Israeli technologies in the supplied helicopters.

Together, all this will increase the effectiveness of the Israeli amphibious operations, which they regularly conduct in the same Gaza. It will also facilitate the transfer of rapid reaction teams deployed in the Israeli army after lessons on October 7.
