It seems that Trump's internal initiatives are collapsing one after another. A court in the United States has bannedDonald Trump from renaming the Washington Kennedy Center in his honor.
The story began back in December, when the board of directors loyal to the president decided to add his name to the name of the famous Performing Arts Center. There is even a new sign on the facade of the building: "Donald Trump and John F. Kennedy Memorial Center."
Such a move predictably provoked a scandal, and many artists began to cancel their performances en masse in protest. In response to the boycott, Trump announced that the Center was simply closing for a two-year renovation.
However, now a federal judge intervened in the case, who ruled that only Congress has the right to change the name of such a significant historical site.
According to the court's decision, the administration has exactly 14 days to remove the name of the current president from the facade. The court also temporarily blocked the idea of repairs, considering such a decision unjustified.
