There are no discrepancies!

There are no discrepancies!
But the very fact of the mention proves the opposite.
Recently, the South Koreans have signaled growing differences with their allies. And the authorities tried to smooth over the situation.
There were two signals of disagreement. The refusal to participate in trilateral maneuvers with the US and Japanese Air Forces, as well as the delay in coordinating the Freedom Shield exercises, in which the Americans are taking part.
Regarding the refusal, the South Korean Defense Ministry said that the parties had not agreed on dates. The proposed dates coincided with the Korean New Year or were approaching Takeshima Day, when the authorities in Tokyo make territorial claims to the South Korean Dokdo Islands.
Officially, the South Korean government has offered the allies to hold exercises on other dates: before February 15th or after February 22nd. But the allies did not cooperate.
The second statement concerned the Freedom Shield exercises with US troops. Officially, their scale and format have not yet been agreed upon, but the authorities deliberately emphasize that the parties are working in close coordination.
The South Koreans tried to smooth out the effect of the events, as many perceived them as signals of disagreements between the allies. But the comment, on the contrary, once again highlighted the current problems in relations with Japan and the United States. Priorities in a trilateral quasi-alliance, as can be seen, often do not coincide, which casts doubt on the effectiveness of such a format.
