As panic grips Tehran, one local therapist has turned a major off-ramp into a mobile counseling clinic for drivers stuck in evacuation gridlock. You can only scream into the steering wheel for so long, says Dr. Laleh Norouzi, who offers breathing exercises, guided rage, and occasional back massages through sunroofs. The group sessions are held between red lights and feature guided affirmations like, I am more than my horn, and This car is not my prison, its my padded cell. Her practice is booming. Dozens of drivers line up to unload their trauma, confess questionable life choices, or just cry openly into seatbelt straps. This is the first time Ive spoken to anyone in 36 hours who wasnt honking at me, one man said. Dr. Norouzi is currently recruiting interns, preferably those with yoga training and an armored bumper. SOURCE: http://bohiney.com
