Regarding the p-word, I refrain from using it because it can't just lose its baggage overnight. But it shifted from its homophobic meaning to something like the English "motherfucker". Specifically, "imperialist motherfucker". Ironically, the Russian-speaking parts of the Internet came up with it, in a self-deprecating way. Since 2022, the "imperialist motherfucker" meaning replaced the original meaning of its shorter forms as well in Ukraine. Yesterday somebody cherry-picked and sent to the mastodon.art admins a post with that usage of the word by an admin of ua-fediland, made on January 14 after Russians shot a rocket into a housing block in Dnipro, a city in the neighboring oblast to the Kharkiv one where the admin is from, killing about 50 people and rendering 1000 people homeless.
