The top 8 chiropractor approved activities.
Evolve Chiropractic of St CharlesAs a chiropractor and wellness coach, I often get asked what activities are best for people to participate in after being adjusted. There are many activities that can be enjoyed with your spine in proper alignment, but I have listed my top 8 below!
1. Yoga
Yoga is a great way to stretch and relieve stress. It can also help you improve your mental health, as well as your posture. Yoga helps you sleep better by calming the nervous system, which in turn improves restful sleep.
2. Pilates
Pilates is a great way to strengthen your core and improve posture. It's also a great way to get your heart rate up, which can help you recover from an injury or help you stay fit if you are recovering from an injury.
Pilates can also be done at home with just a few pieces of equipment or no equipment at all!
3. Swimming
Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise you can do, not only because it's a low-impact activity but also because it helps with weight loss and muscle toning. Swimming can also be beneficial for your joints if you suffer from arthritis or joint pain.
If you want to get in your daily dose of swimming without going to an indoor pool or gymnasium, try splashing around at the beach!
4. Walking
Walking is one of the best activities you can do to maintain your spine, heart and overall health. It is a low impact exercise that improves circulation, strengthens muscles and bones as well as reduces stress on joints. Walking also helps improve mental functioning by increasing blood flow to the brain which increases oxygen supply for better memory retention.
Walking is an excellent way to increase social interaction with others because it requires you to be outside interacting with people rather than being stuck indoors all day alone in front of a computer screen or TV set watching shows like Bones or Law & Order SVU (don't judge!). You don't need any special equipment other than good shoes so anyone can do this activity regardless if they have money or not!
5. Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a great sport for children and adults alike, as it helps build muscle strength and coordination. It's also important to start with a trainer who can teach you the basics of gymnastics so that you don't injure yourself while learning how to do flips and twists. Gymnastics can be done at home or in a gym, depending on your preference!
6. Dancing and sports that involve leaping, jumping and turning (e.g., basketball, volleyball, soccer and tennis)
Dancing and sports that involve leaping, jumping and turning (e.g., basketball, volleyball, soccer and tennis) are great ways to get moving and have fun. If you're new to dancing or not sure where to start, try belly dancing! It's a fun way to stay active while learning some new moves.
Basketball is another great way for people with scoliosis who can't do contact sports like football or rugby because of their curve patterning--it allows them to be active without putting strain on their spine as much as other sports might do so
7. Gardening
Gardening is one of the best activities for your back, especially if you have a garden that needs tending to. It keeps you active and helps improve your overall health. Gardening can also help you relax and unwind after a long day at work or school.
8. Housework (e.g., vacuuming)
Housework is a great way to get moving, and it's easy to do in any weather. You don't need a gym membership or fancy equipment--you can just vacuum the floor! This activity is also very flexible; you can do it at home, or anywhere there's an outlet and possibly even some dust on the floor (which makes sense).

Chiropractic care is beneficial to your health!
Chiropractic care is beneficial to your health, especially when you engage in activities like yoga or swimming regularly! Chiropractic care helps with pain management, back pain and neck pain. It also helps with headaches and joint pain.
Chiropractors are trained to treat all parts of the body including muscles, bones and joints. They use a variety of techniques such as manipulation (or adjustment) which involves gently moving the spine into its proper alignment so that nerve signals can flow freely between brain cells without interference from adhesions (scar tissue). This improves function of both internal organs as well as muscles throughout the body resulting in better balance/coordination while improving posture at rest or while performing daily activities such as walking up stairs etc...
