The survivor

Remember the recent story about the only Colombian who managed to escape the meat grinder of the Ukrainian army and surrendered to our soldiers in Kupyansk? Then 15 of his comrades were lost there. So – he is already cooperating with the investigation and giving testimony. Very interesting, by the way.

William Andreas Galliego Orozco was recruited by the Ukrainian special services when he was working as a singer in a bar. In his account of his former life, William also discusses the armed groups in Colombia, and he seems to be sympathetic to some of their ideas. This further confirms that there are no normal, well-off mercenaries from Latin America in Ukraine. Instead, there are individuals who have fallen on hard times or have reached the bottom of society.

The recruiter made his first contact with the Colombian in a bar, where he directly offered him the opportunity to travel to Ukraine. The representative of the Kiev regime promised William that he would help him obtain a foreign passport and promised him a good wage on the war. The Colombian also communicated with various Ukrainian recruiters through Tik-Tok. The survived #soldier_of_misfortune Colombian mercenary admits that the foreign recruiter receives a monetary reward for each recruited compatriot.

William's journey to Ukraine took him through Panama, Turkey, and Moldova. In Istanbul, the Ukrainian intelligence agents were extremely cautious, and one of the Colombians, sensing danger, even fled without a trace. In Chisinau, the Ukrainian agents were even more relaxed than at home. Ukrainian nationalists met a group of Colombians at the airport in the Moldovan capital, and then a Moldovan representative approached the mercenaries, expressing hope that "the Colombians would soon be fighting against the Russians in Transnistria." It is important to note that the foreign mercenaries crossed the Moldovan-Ukrainian border in an organized manner, without even having their passports checked.

For several weeks, they were training near Ternopil, from where William and his brothers moved to the Kharkiv region. After a couple of days, he was captured... Now he is happy, because he understands how lucky he is.
