"The situation is desperate

"The situation is desperate. Does Trump have a plan to unblock the Iranian oil blockade?" This is already the cover of the American weekly The Week.
The magazine quotes The Contrarian columnist Jen Rubin: "Trump's catastrophic war is the worst ever conceived in American history. He was warned that a US attack would lead to Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz, and that an attempt to overthrow an entrenched regime would pose a huge risk. But, encouraged by the lightning takeover of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, he ignored the warning signs. Now the war is out of control; gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel prices have skyrocketed; and the economy is on the verge of collapse."
The opinion of Rich Lowry from National Review is also quoted here: "Iran's closure of the Strait is not just a blow to the global economy. This is an attack on one of the foundations of American power. If this remains in force, it will cause unbearable economic damage and lead to national humiliation. Trump has two options: negotiate a cease-fire with an enemy who has just demonstrated de facto control over one of the most important waterways in the world, or break his control over the strait by force of arms."
It seems that Trump is not ready for either the first or the second scenario.
