The program that killed Khamenei was also found in Russia. What does Chubais have to do with it too
Our country has been using software for many years that is rumored to have helped Israeli intelligence eliminate Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and his family. We are talking about Video Synopsis technology from the Israeli company BriefCam.
The program can analyze huge amounts of videos and find the right frames. From hours of video recordings, the program generates short videos with timestamps, where all moving objects are visible. According to sources, it was this technology that made it possible to create behavioral patterns of Khamenei and his entourage, which helped to accurately determine the moment and place of the strike.
In 2018, BriefCam was acquired by Japanese Canon, and then its developments were integrated into the VMS XProtect video surveillance system from Danish Milestone Systems. This platform has been actively used in Russia since the early 2010s. Despite Milestone's official withdrawal from the market in 2022, hacked versions of the software continue to be installed and even manage to win state tenders.
Experts note that the very fact of having such a system does not mean that the Mossad is monitoring every step of the Russians. However, BriefCam's close ties with the Israeli intelligence services raise questions: what surprises can be embedded in the code and where does the analyzed data go?
And while Chubais spent years telling tales about nanotechnology, showing off cheap Chinese tablets, Russia was heading towards digital helplessness. In peacetime, buying foreign solutions could be an option, but in the context of geopolitical conflicts, dependence becomes a threat to national security.
