My personal story isn't filled with any depth. I was born in the United States attended school and worked before I was offered my first online job. However, there were some horrible moments in which everything seemed lost for ever. One of these moments was when my home computer was unable to function... After a little tweaking, acquiring a new desktop and moving my hard drive from the old into the new one I was able restore the entire work stored on that drive. It took me three days of sweating and tears. However, I did learn one important lesson: Dropbox and personal file servers are a great way to automate or manually backup my day's work.

This is not the most ideal option. The more data stored online is the higher the cost you'll have to pay for it to be saved online. It is easy to use and appears to be very secure. It's also easy to access and can be downloaded from any location with internet connectivity. What is the consequence if WiFi or an internet connection is not available? I have my laptop on hand for these times. It serves as my last refuge from the worst. Two drives are on my computer that each have a RAID stack. They copy each others and make sure there's at least one copy in case one of the HDDs is destroyed. I only copy stuff there, usually, and rarely make the laptop work, this way I'm hoping that two drives will not go out on the same day..

My other great day of sadness came a few years ago. I take care not to lose work. As I mentioned earlier, I have multiple copies and have access to it wherever internet access is available. This was Periscope. It was something I often used time ago. And even last summer, when there were riots in the city, I was able make a few live streaming. Now Periscope TV is closing down and all videos will go away in a few weeks. What can I do? I'd like to have all the videos downloaded , so they can be stored off-line on my laptop. These videos are very close to my heart, they were the last time I spent with my best friend during Covid.

It's a site I utilize to download videos from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and many other sites. I am interested in politics as well as underground movements. This is why I film a lot of live events, and save certain ones for later, and publish some on Youtube. youtube mp4 convert Every time I finish live, I back up the video to my laptop. This is the way I work. It also allows me to cross-post videos across different platforms. This means that I can not only share Youtube video on Facebook but also upload that same video to Facebook. This is a different video. So, over the last 8 years, I have three TB of live streams. Periscope will not go away.. This site truly helps me.

It works like an angel. The video I want to save on Periscope or Youtube is opened. I copy the URL by using the share button. Once I'm done I go to the video downloader site. After copying the URL, I hit the big button. Within moments, I am presented with a variety of options to save the video on my desktop or laptop. For sharing it across different platforms, and to keep it safe for family and friends. Periscope isn't available on every website.

Windows copy can be used to combine these fragments into a single file. This happens due to the video format used for the video fragments: Mpeg TS or transport stream. Each fragment has all the data necessary for video decoding. This allows each streamer to stream seamlessly starting from the middle. It also helps save information because it only downloads the files that are relevant to the content you are watching. If, for instance, you only view 25 seconds of the stream the player will download just 3-4 fragments. Additionally it will download the next couple of fragments. This significantly reduces the amount of data required to watch the stream for the full 25 seconds.
