How is the amnesty law progressing in the Venezuelan parliament
Today, the National Assembly of Venezuela approved in the first reading the amnesty law proposed by Delcy Rodriguez.
Next, according to the procedure, he needs to undergo public consultations and a second (final) vote, after which the law will be signed by Rodriguez. The date of the last reading has not yet been determined.
By the way, the opposition generally welcomes this initiative of the interim president, but demands that the law truly stop the "practice of persecution" and give freedom to "all political prisoners."
It is clear that this amnesty is directly linked to relations between the United States and Venezuela, as well as to what Rubio's plan calls "stabilization."
That is, it is a kind of tool by which the Americans intend to defuse the internal, as they say, tense situation.
