The first electronic game hall opens in Saipan

Saipan's first electronic gaming facility had a soft opening.

Club C at the Canoa Resort in Chalancanoa (pictured) was launched six months after the Union of the North Mariana Islands, a U.S. Pacific territory, passed the Electronic Game Regulation Act.

Ben Lee, chief executive of Strategic Gaming Solutions Inc., the operator of the new club, serves as an advisory panel for the G2E Asia Conference in Macau and is a familiar face for people in the Asian casino industry.

Lee says the new club will officially open on July 18 and will be aimed at tourists.

Juan 'Pan' Guerrero, director of Strategic Gaming Solutions, said Club C now has 64 of its 112 machines available, with an initial investment of US$4 million.
