The disabled boy is the nursery boss

After four years, Viet has become the owner of a nursery garden with an area of over 5,000m² of all kinds, from fruit trees to forestry trees, medicinal plants ...

Going to hamlet 5, Huong Long commune (Huong Khe, Ha Tinh), I asked Viet, the nursery everyone knows because when he was a child, he was a boy at a disadvantage compared to his peers when he had atrophy of his left leg muscle and was very walking. hard. In addition, the family situation of Vietnam is also strict when his father is infected with Agent Orange, and his mother with heart disease must regularly take medicine.

I believe you may not know: best hand tool for weeding garden

“When I was a child, I saw one big leg and a small leg, I thought I would be discriminated against by my friends, teased, and soon dropped out of school. Because I love my parents who are sick, my three children, I told myself that I must overcome ... ”- Viet recalled.

During school time, Viet was very miserable every time the class moved upstairs, had to take the stairs. Not wanting to disturb his friends, Viet was determined to go home and learn to "plant a banana tree" to climb stairs with both hands. Viet said many times he practiced "planting a banana tree" when he fell and hurt his body, and once thought he was a limp. Soon after, Viet was able to climb the stairs with his hands.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Thuong, secretary of Huong Khe District Youth Union, said that thanks to his passion for learning and his desire to overcome life, his academic achievements were admired by his friends. During 12 years of high school, Viet always achieved excellent students and fulfilled his dream of entering university lectures.

Due to the circumstances, in the first year of Vinh University, Viet had to take advantage of being a tutor at night to have money to cover the daily costs of accommodation and meals. Thanks to his academic efforts, Viet graduated with a bachelor's degree (agriculture - forestry and fishery and information technology) at a time. Recently, Viet has continued to successfully defend its master's thesis on plant science.

Write dream in the countryside

After graduating from university, Viet gave up an attractive salary offer to work in Dong Nai to go home to write his dream in their parents' abandoned garden.

While at the lecture hall, Viet used to participate in researching techniques to create agarwood agarwood trees and was highly appreciated by teachers. But when returning home to fulfill the "dream", Vietnam has many difficulties.

Viet's father, Mr. Tran Kim Minh, said: “The day I learned that my child graduated from university refused to come to the South but insisted on going back to his hometown to start a business, I did not believe it because it was just a nursery. has two empty hands. I thought it could do it four years later.

To become a tree nursery owner, on the first day, Vietnam repaired computers, worked as a hired laborer, to save money to buy seeds and returned to nursery. Or in order to bring the varieties to be sold to people to grow in accordance with the local soil and climate, Vietnam must ask borrowers to borrow money to go to the South or the North to eat and sleep for months to grasp the characteristics and grafting method tree.

According to Viet, this plant is difficult to cultivate because of many pests and diseases. To overcome this shortcoming, Viet took the sand and dried it in the sun to clean the pathogens, then sprayed the reducing solution to sow the seeds. Planting agarwood trees is to get agarwood, but not all trees give agarwood.

Thanks to participating in researching on methods of using probiotics and creating wounds on tree trunks and roots to create agarwood, Viet has guided many people to create agarwood. To make everyone feel secure, on the first day of nursery building, Viet borrowed to buy 200 agarwood trees over eight years old, applied knowledge in drilling to create agarwood and sent it to farmers in the district to take care of and protect. .

Now looking at the nursery of Vietnam is very diverse, there are many varieties of precious trees such as short siamese coconut, super early jackfruit, red melon, yellow heart, flower slices, mausoleum, trichromat, bio-site. In addition to the nursery at home, Viet also cooperates in planting trees in some other provinces and cities such as: 3 ha of lentils in Dak Nong, 6,500 agarwood trees (creating agarwood trees for more than two years) in Ho Chi Minh City, 500 agarwood trees. in Nghia Dan (Nghe An) ...

“Thanks to my learned knowledge, I want to go back to my hometown to apply scientific research to build a quality nursery with all kinds of trees. All just want to help parents and farmers improve their lives ”- Viet shared.
